Chapter: Comics
Technology and having a job really improved audiobooks for me. When I first looked into them at the library they were always abridged and they came on a huge stack of cassette tapes. I barely made it through the second book before giving up. Things got better when they were available on CDs but I skipped that era having been turned off by the abridged cassettes. Now I can get them as a downloadable file that goes right onto my iPod. Apple gave away copies of John Hodgman’s “Areas of My Expertise” a few years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. The 1 hour commute to and from work is no longer much of a problem when an invisible is person sitting next to you telling you a story for weeks on end.

… do not deviate from the mission parameters. You must enact the Plan as instructed when you hear the keyword, without hesitation or remorse. Special Agent Ruxpin will be very angry if you do not obey the Director’s wishes – he knows where you sleep, and he will be watching and evaluating your loyalty! You will awaken feeling refreshed and alert in 5, 4, 3, 2…..

I was going to download an audiobook of Les Miserables, but the first half was 13 hours long. XD
I love it! So cute!
I also love audiobooks. I love when the narrators do the voices REALLY well, and get into it. They make the work day just fly.
Definitely borrow week.
