Chapter: Comics
I had both hamsters and gerbils as pets when I was a kid. I think I preferred the hamsters. The gerbil’s main goal in life was to escape the cage they were in. They were fast and hard to catch when they did get away. Hamsters on the other hand were much slower and laid back. They were happy to just lounge around and munch on celery.

Love the comic, though it reminds me that my friends hamsters died. All of my little pets died as a kid, I was a horrible owner.
It could have worked if he used collars! D:
Collars make everything work better. ๐
i’ve had lots of pets… i think i counted omne time an it was around 50, mostly hermit crabs….
now i only have dogs…. a shitzu and a mini mini dobermen pincher
shih tzu*
Biff with a herd of hamsters… the destruction he could cause… (insert jaw drop here)
Hmmm, I can see hamsters eating away a house if there were enough of them.
I only have one dog… I want more pets.
I wonder how Biff plans to get the hamsters back?
Man, I wonder when Biff will understand that those 20 foot tall mutant hamsters have no problem hopping a five foot tall fence…
Those bars needed to be a tad higher.
I shall start a new catchphrase: “Wow, that’s crazier than a herd of hamsters!”
Or better(when relevant): “Wow, that’s hairier than a herd of hamsters!”
The latter could also refer to a situation.
You know celery is poisonous to small animals like hamsters and bunnies? Just thought I would warn any small pet owners out there. Gerbils donโt eat celery I donโt think. Yay for random thoughts.
I will buy myself either a turtle or a rat or both.
Then I will use everything I have learned at the University about animal psychology to make it a super-turtle/rat.
Then, finally, world domination will be mine.
But first, I’ll have a cup of coffee.
I would love to have a herd of hamsters. I would go lie down in the middle and let them crawl all over me.
I used to have two hamsters. They were cute.
Nice comic! It made me ‘Laugh Out Loud’, so to speak. I heard that about the celery when my uncle was babysitting some mice for a friend and he gave them a bit of celery and then they were dead. Le sigh. I had two mice. Now, since it turns out that the pet shop doesn’t separate the genders properly, I have seventeen mice.
lol
Biff needs to either train his rodents better or get a couple of rats to act like sheepdogs.
I remember my pet hamster. She was an escape artist. She figured out how to open the door on her cage. I had a mouse too. She could squeeze through any hole. Frankly, the the wire panel walls WERE like Biff’s fence to her….
Macabelle has a question. The search robot seems to have a malfunction in that it only goes up to 298, then suddenly stops. So Macabelle must flip through several comics to get to the new one. Is there any way to fix this, or is it just Macabelle’s PC?
Macabelle – No that is a problem with the robot. I’ll try to get it fixed.
Wait, so is this where all the hamsters in my house have come from? *puts them in a ship and ships them back to Biff*
Oh. If I needed a ship to send them back, then the hamsters have come through the sea? ummm… I’ll have to warn Biff his hamsters can swim too.
either that… or fly…
ive got a hamster and 2 rats, adorable little guys. except for the hamster, ive only “lost” a rat once in the entire year ive owned him, and he just sat under my bed, and came back to me when i called him, its so cool that you can train them to do that. hamsters however, they get lost, you gotta close all the doors and put paper near all the little openings, so you can hear them when they walk on it, ive found little gorby twice that way. heh, everyone likes my little pets. click my name to watch them
I’ve grown up on guinea pigs. They are much bigger and slower. They also can purr when they are happy. My favorite one was a black long haired male named Sonic. Great comic.
I have a dog, and he was always running away when he was younger. Now we have one of those underground electric fences. He stays in the yard now.
Where does Biff get his time and money?
Chris –
I was reading the review from that one magazine (I read it online, sorry, I don’t live around that area) and they described Biff as having wild eyebrows and a MOUSTACHE. Is that actually a moustache? I always imagined it as a crazy mouth that always had the same expression (but somehow still showed every emotion necessary).
So is it a mouth or a moustache?
Yeah it’s a mouth. A lot of people have thought that it’s a mustache and I can see why. Every once in a while though Biff opens his mouth… and that should make it apparent that it’s not a mustache. ๐
Awesome, I knew it was right. Thanks Chris ๐
I think it looks better as a mouth. I tried starting at it and imagining it as a moustache and I just couldn’t! Haha.
my method:
contain the little bastids with brick walls.
I want to make a hamster herd too..
I once had to care for my aunt’s two hamsters, Thelma and Louise. They tend to escape and hid in my parents’ walk-in closet and the pan storage drawer in the kitchen.
That’s the last time I care for animals named after movie characters.
I would keep hamstersgerbilshedgehogsmicerats, but my cats would play andor eat them.
There ARE such things as wild hampsters.
Weird huh?
Get a capybara. They’re larger, Rad Ed.
dude, i’m allergic to rodents. especially guinea pigs. which sucks because i used to have a pet g. pig. my mom din’t know i was allergic until i swelled up when i petted it.
i love g. pigs iv got 20-25 now and they breed like hell this time of year even when pregent [probly why they hav tons of kids]
I don’t know I didn’t have much trouble with gerbils, well other than the ones the cat fished out of the cage and ate. But I did have a hamster get lose and get into the walls, my dad had to cut a whole in the wall to get it out, and it had just been replaced.
i lived on a farm growing up so i had lots of pets. most of them are things i drug home-near dead- saying ‘can we keep it????’ ive had a pet racoon baby that we nursed untill it grew up and we set it loose. i had a pet deer and a ton of horses (My mom was a trainer) plus we had peacocks and turkeys among other birds. we almost always had 4 or 5 dogs at a time and a coupla cats too. the only thing we never had was gerbils or hampsters…they were food for our snake and lizards. i was so suprised when my best friend told me she got a hampster for her birthday. i was like ‘what? but you don’t like snakes!’ i didn’t realize untill then they could be regular pets too.
Biff isn’t terribly bright, is he?
