#1447 – One

I think the only time I’ve been first in line for something with a long wait was a movie. Back when I could still tolerate movie theaters I liked to go see the big blockbusters on opening day. Half the enjoyment was watching the expression on people’s faces as they would walk up 20 minutes before showtime and freak out that there was a line. There was always a group of them that had no idea this was opening day for the biggest movie of the summer and now have to walk the entire length of the theater to find the end of the line.

Today’s Maximumble is under pressure.

Hell, It’s January, and the icecream truck is till running… 17 degrees (f) out there, and kids are buying icecream.

    Wait… I wonder. Do I live in Biff-world?!

We still have one coming by every weekday afternoon here. Guess if the kids stll want to get ice cream, the truck will still roll.

  2. I can’t remember ever having been first in line (from the beginning, that is) for something. However, I was *among* the first coupl’a people in line for autographs from the band Nazareth, at Sweden Rock Festival the summer of 2010. Feels kinda weird, though, that the “autograph house” wasn’t crammed with people, since Nazareth is such a well-known band that has been around for such a long time…

lol, oddly enough around here you don’t hear the icecream much in the summer, but boy when october or november hits you hear it a lot!
