I had to wear lenses strapped to my head ever since I was a kid. Instead of just approximating normal vision I always wanted to have super-human vision. Give me glasses that can see through walls or zoom in to something a mile away. This whole thing about reading the chalkboard from the back of the room is really setting the bar low. Let’s think bigger people. Get some lasers involved or something.
Today’s Maximumble is easily amused.
Can I get a pair of those too?
With these, it’s *extra* important to remember to not look at the sun…
I’ve got very good eyesight, but people don’t believe me, and that is only because I can’t read microscopic things that are really far away. Apparently it doesn’t matter that I can see things very clearly up close, in 3D and HD vision. And also, for some weird reason, my left eye is better for looking at things up close, while my right eye is better for looking at things a bit further away (but still not that far, more like across the room or so).
Oh, I wish I could zoom in on things with my eyes… 8)

Even more embarassing if the AAHH-OOH-GAAAH!! noise is what brought the attention to you.
They have glasses with built in cameras now. They’re probably popular with criminals. There’s also transition lenses, which darken into sunglasses when outdoors. I remember reading about a company that was trying to add night-vision to normal glasses. Just wait a bit longer for your high-tech stuff.
