#972 – Annelida

When I was a kid and was first introduced to fishing, my biggest concern was how to get the worm on the hook without stabbing my finger. I was surprised that later in life I had the dexterity to easily put the worm on the hook but I was now freaked out by touching and stabbing the worm.

My first time fishing came under the tutelage of a friend of the family. I also couldn’t get the worm on the hook because it was wriggling so much. The guy told me (in jest) that if I were to bite the worm it’d stop wriggling. So, without hesitation, I bit the worm.

It worked! I couldn’t understand why everyone started laughing…

“Dating a worm is very inexpensive.”

Well heck, I’d even go so far as to say it’s “dirt cheap”! 😀

  4. PTTG says:

@Chris — Well, I’m sure reynard61 wouldn’t have been the first! If only I was had thought of it myself…

@PTTG — More of a plateau I think, there’s no gravy running down the sides.

So is this a restaurant or his home? And if it’s a restaurant, what places serve dirt?! Of course, it’s not the worst thing that could be served, I’ve seen some nasty stuff in kitchen nightmares.

    @PTTG
It’s Devils Tower. Not a Potatocano.

um aren’t worms both sexes? which part is he dating? and the fact it’s a “blind” date lol

  9. baughbe says:

And will he worm his way into a second date?

  10. Küchenhexe says:

From the potatoes, obviously, Biff is a fan of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

  11. Küchenhexe says:

@Crimson Regret, more like creepy-crawly week, I suspect. I’ve never known earthworms to be considered pests, especially not household pests.

  12. MaskedMan says:

The worm just had better hope that Biff doesn’t eat like a bird… 😀

  13. Heatherface says:

    lol The potatoes.

  14. Linzleh says:

I don’t know about that, I’ve dated some worms and ended up paying big time… Perhaps this is Biff’s creepy crawly harbingers of spring week.

  15. reynard61 says:

@ MaskedMan: Good one! *shares -50 of my points*

  16. Radical Edward says:

Worms, I always found them to be very creepy, especially after the rain.

  17. Glenn says:

Does Biff have those potatoes on a daily ba-

Oh yeah. Deep concerning love for mashed potatoes. Nearly forgot.

  18. Mister Disco says:

I’m amused that there are more comments about the potatoes and the shape that they are than the rest of the comic.
