#712 – Poseidon

There’s a magical period of time in the spring and fall that happens for about a week. I can leave a partially filled bottle of water in the car and it will freeze overnight. Then the temperature gradually warms up throughout the day. By the time I leave work the temperature inside the car is warm enough that I have to roll the windows down. The best part is I now have a refreshingly chilled bottle of ice water sitting next to me to enjoy on my drive home.

The steam does make his eyebrows all droopy!

  2. At first I thought he was trying to make minty soda by mixing Mentos with a random clear pop.

Well I finally caught up to the main page after 3 days of reading, great comic, it’s definitely in my top 3 now. I don’t know how I could have gone all these years without knowing about biff.

I can relate to this comic a bit too much, I got sprayed in the face by a bottle of carbonated water that I had dropped then decided to open right away anyway just a couple hours ago 🙁

  4. Space Butler says:

I bet Biff is going to have to wait for his boiling water to cool off a bit before taking a drink. I personally order cold drinks so I can start drinking right away.

I want that bottle. I want it so much. I love water, so anywhere i can get a lot of it is good. Cape Cod tapwater is the best water I’ve ever had.

As a student pedestrian in Wisconsin, I have to say though – cold enough for sweatshirt in the morning, warm enough for a T-shirt by afternoon, and too cold even with a winter coat by evening, gets to be incredibly frustrating sometimes.

I notice that there is a second recurring theme in this weeks comics Chris. It’s subtle yet it’s there.

  8. Chris says:

    @Dwarg91 – Is it a secret?

  9. starseedjenny says:

@Amy – that sounds nice to me. Does it rain awesomely, too?

  10. MaskedMan says:

I would SO pay for that bottle of water! Instant hot water – Just add Ramen Noodles!

  11. William Syler says:

I subscribe to the belief that there are 8 elements with 2 other elements that support the other 8:
    Fire and Ice
    Water and Electricity
    Earth and Wind
    Light and Dark
And the other 2 elements are Life and Death.
I like that structure. I got it off AdventureQuest!

  12. Danomite says:

That ice water trick sounds nice. Too bad I live in Arizona 🙁

  13. Reg says:

It’s nice during the winter for me since my bottled water, sodas and Gatorades can all stay in the garage and I actually have room in my fridge. When the summer starts to kick in, however, I have to cut down on my soda intake!

  14. no name says:

    that sounds really pleasant.

wouldn’t biff be like killed by the heat? aren’t geysers really hot?

  15. Couso says:

Captain Planet Theme week! We just need Earth and Heart, before CP shows up

  16. Linzleh says:

Never a “pirate-tea” bag when you need one… those little label changes can be crucial!

  17. Nabrin says:

The theme appears to be “Greek Gods”. Look at the titles of the comics so far – Prometheus, Anemoi, and Poseidon.

  18. Speakerblast says:

@Chris- Make sure to shake your water if it freezes and melts. You get gross plastic stuff in it otherwise.

Also, now that I’m 18 you can make this an adult comic.

    No?

  19. -2! says:

wow i must be in a bad mood, i managed to laugh for a good minute and still not get cheered up… how dose that work? 🙁

  20. -2! says:

Okay sorry for the double comment (4 hours later so its okay) but now i am cheered up, (playing my game through all the finished levels helped) and reread the comic and laughed for a good 2 more minutes… totalling 3 minutes which is still not that for a Biff comic!

  21. The Dustin says:

should have read here before commenting on thursday’s comic, but Captain Planet-Biff would be an issue, Green mullet+bald biff.

  22. DaemonThanatos says:

O.o wow. I’d buy that…so I could blast people I don’t like with it… and it would be an almost limitless source of water.
