#1879 – Scraped

I remember there was a day when the kids at school suddenly decided crying was not allowed any more. “Did you see Jimmy when he fell out of the tree and broke his arm? He was crying! What a baby!” It used to be crying left and right. Then everyone decided they were “big kids” now and beyond such things.

  2. I’m actually quite surprised that I still haven’t dropped my “new” mobile phone on the floor/ground (I’ve had it for almost a year now). Many of my Game Boys and Nintendo DS:es have managed to survive being dropped on the floor, though (even if it wasn’t because of me tripping or anything; they have fallen down from the table).

Game Boys and the like tend to be made from thick, kid-proof plastic, and the more vulnerable screen area is usually small.

On the other hand, iPhones are made almost entirely out of glass (especially the 4 and 4s, which have glass on the back too).

Fortunately I have a Lumia 925 which is nigh indestructible. 🙂

Because they make smaller and sleeker electronics, it’s harder to make it more durable. That’s why I like to stick to the good old things, like game boys.

        P.S. Also partly because I don’t have enough money for a DS…
