#1674 – Targeted

I don’t have any tattoos but I know plenty of people that do. There are probably a bunch more that have hidden ones that I don’t know about. I had a boss with full sleeve tattoos that nobody had any idea about until we saw him wear a short sleeve shirt for the first time at a company picnic. What tattoos do you have?

A bracelet of violets on my right wrist in memory of my Mother. I was 62 when I had it done; I plan on another tattoo on my left wrist.

      Oh, violets are lovely. 🙂

        They are also blue.

On the upside, everyone will be complimenting Biff on his awesome St. Sebastian costume for the rest of the festival.

I don’t have a tattoo yet, but I’d like to get one someday.

Have 6, but my favorite is a leaf vine extending from my ankle to under my arm on my left side.

Best was when a little girl saw it one day when I was out and about, and excitedly told her mom, “Look! It’s Jack and the Beanstalk!” 🙂

  4. I have 4 tattoos, and I’m pretty sure my motives of choice are kinda unusual…

    A lion, or more like a man with a lion’s head/face

Mr Slave (yes, the South Park character)

A man with wings (I was drawing my own version of Icarus one day, and this guy with wings was the result of that)

A werewolf with a sword and a red/pink mohawk (I use a picture of this tattoo as my profile picture everywhere on the internet)

No tattoos, because I’m too chicken for them.

The closest thing I have are Sharpie and gel pen tattoos. Because of the nature of the ink, the designs vary.

My mother considered getting a real tattoo, but she didn’t have a clue as to what to immortalize…I told her “do one of Nana Pat as a memorial” (Nana Pat was my maternal grandmother, who died when I was a baby.)

She might get it, providing that my father doesn’t do anything drastic like amputate (there’s a running gag with my father who says, when all else fails “We’re gonna have to amputate”).

My old Dad (31 years USMC, from Shanghai in the thirties through all WWII, finally retired while I was in RVN first tour, had just a few) once told me “Don’t ever get any tattoos or other ‘distinguishing marks’, or you won’t be able to apply for The President’s Goon Squad”. I was never sure if he was kidding or not, but never got any, either. Career-limiting?

I have a small alien standing on my right nipple planting a flag in it like he conquered a planet.

      Interesting. Got any tattoos?

  8. kingklash says:

None, mainly because I’m Super Chicken when it comes to needles. But i have considered a couple, because you never know: a Green Lantern symbol on my right middle finger, in case I never find a replica power ring, or the kanji Majide (seriously?! or -the hell!?) on one arm and Hajike (go crazy) on the other.

Oh… biff… not the best way to show support for your favorite department store…

I have one, on my back right under my shoulder. It’s a symbol that is similar to the Kanji for Earth, slightly due to Avatar: the last Airbender as an Earthbender, but mostly because of a Dwarf character I had in a roleplay who controlled earth and sand.

I have a tattoo on my left middle finger, it’s the Backdraft insignia from Zoids. My favourite story about it, though, is when I was getting it. I have a dead nerve in that finger due to a kitbashing mishap. Most of the tattoo was pins and needles (like when your feet go to sleep) times ten. But when it came to the right flame, since it was on the dead nerve, it actually tickled. XD
