#1110 – Interim

It would really be much more convenient if when you broke a finger you could just detach your hand and leave it with a doctor for a few days to fix it up. They could do all their x-rays and stuff while you were at home eating your Monday night bag of Cheetos. I would have to be careful about sun exposure though. It would be weird having to explain having one pasty white hand.

I’m assuming he can lift small objects and open doors with the antennae.

The sun exposure thing reminds me of work over the summer. I often wore gloves while working outside and sometimes had only one glove on. So I ended up with a tan that ended at my wrists and two differently tanned hands.

I immediately thought of Wormtail from Harry Potter at your comment, Chris. I think I need to lay off the trailers O_o

Wait, so those are like triangular wheels that work like treadmills? Either that, or Biff is going to get face-planted.

Heh! A combination of an I-Robot PackBot and Captain Christopher Pike… Niiiice! 😆

As for the odd tan situation, well, I’ve got two words: Trucker’s tan.
If macho truckers can put up with an odd tan, I’m sure leaving your hand in the shop for the weekend isn’t going to present real issues…

I love Biff’s look like this! XD It just seems like you can put him on anything and it wouldn’t be out of place.

    It’s R2-D2’s cousin, B1-F4!

Also, while I never really thought of detachable body parts, I’ve always thought it’d be kinda cool if we could shed our skins to remove unwanted blemishes and/or body hair.

Another example of tans: cyclist tan. I’m wearing a jersey and gloves, so guess what that looks like.
But if we HAD detachable limbs, they surely could tune the tanning grade to match the rest of the body.

  9. William says:

This explains every comic to this one previously! Biff, is in fact, a humor robot in the same vein as a steampunk Wile E. Coyote!

I know exactly what you mean, Thomas. When I’m riding regularly, I tend to end up with tanned knees and elbows, but nothing else. Well, that and the face, where the sunglasses leave me with a sort of reverse raccoon look. The fact that I’m rather fair-skinned and generally nocturnal doesn’t help any either.

Oh, and I like the interchangeable (or at least detachable) body parts idea, Chris. And the applications aren’t just medical; it kinda reminds me of a local tattoo shop that advertises “Tattoos done while you wait”. I always wanted to stop by and ask if I could just pick mine up when it was done.

  11. El Richardo says:

Lucky Biff. At least his loaner had treads. After I broke a few ribs, I had to leave mine in, but my loaner had spider-y legs. Good for stairs, but I had to get used to having a few extra limbs…

Also, people kept stepping on me. Annoying as heck.

  12. grapy says:

triangle treads are not a good idea because if you trip with them you will either fall back and get stuck or faceplant into gravel and get stuck subject switch!

  13. grapy says:

i understand binary so today’s biff number in binary is 14

  14. faulty logic says:

Golf. Another good single hand tan activity.

  15. i.half4 says:

Oh, no. It’s all starting to make sense now. Or is it…

  16. DaemonThanatos says:

    Ooooh, that bites. Poor Biff!

  17. Bobby says:

    Dont I know It!
