#1024 – Entwine

I remember having to put the laces into a new pair of shoes as a frustrating and time consuming task. As a kid it was really hard to get the laces to be even when I was all done. Most of the time I wound up tying them off to one side or the other to compensate. This was my preferred solution rather then starting over again for the 5th time.

    that just looks painful somehow

  2. PsychoDuck says:

This could actually come in handy if you’re low on cash and can’t afford groceries. You know, a shoestring budget.

If that loks painful, try not to think about “nature taking it’s course”*

@ Chris: That’s why God (or someone) invented sandals and loafers.

@Chris If all else fail, you could hurl the shoe at someone after so much frustration.

I always laced them up loosely. Then if one side was an inch or two longer, I would use the slack to lengthen the other side.

Biff always has the most colorful shoe laces to go with those green pair he always has on. it looks so much like an earthworm.

PsychoDuck has punned. Horribly. He must be pun-ished!

  9. baughbe says:

Well I don’t know if we should pun-ish PsycoDuck. After all, he is a pun-dit for Biff.

I was thinking along these lines recently. It’s just another item on the list of things that were really hard as a kid and are surprisingly easy as an adult.

Yeah, he just needs pun-ch on the arm. Crap, I can’t figure out how to use pun-gent. Oh well. We had a pun time.

Biff has the world’s creepiest teeth.

Ok, second creepiest after everybody in Overcompensating.

I believe he needs to be punted.

I have a feeling that shoestrings are more expensive then spaghetti, so a spaghetti budget would be even less.

    Well spaghetti noodle budget anyway…

I would slip a pony bead onto the middle of my shoelace and tie a knot on either side of it. Then I would use it to keep track of the center of the shoelace. No more uneven laces!
*Note: this works best on cloth laces…for round laces, pin a safety-pin on either side of the bead and remove after lacing.

  15. PsychoDuck says:

    So I must be ex-pun-ged?

When i see biff’s teeth i can’t help but think that his skin is pulled tightly over a skull with no muscle at all underneath
