#1002 – Apogee

When I was a kid I went for a number of years before I realized that the moon could be seen in the daytime. I had seen it but I thought it must be something else. Perhaps a roundish bit of cloud? I know what the moon looks like and it is very bright. Whatever that thing may be, that’s no moon.

Wheeeennnn the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that amore……

  2. The Dukenator says:

While looking up apogee on http://dictionary.com, some of the related searches refer to the game company using apogee as their name. Now, they are 3D Realms.

  3. Singles says:

    That’s no moon. It’s a space station.

  4. Arzades says:

Is it just me, or are this week’s all part of the same picture so far, just split into sections? I mean, the left side of this one connects to yesterday’s, and that one seems to connect to Monday’s.

  5. Redtail says:

    Oooh, I notice a pattern here, but I won’t say…

Well, okay. I will. It seems rather like each picture is linked! I saw a bit of rubble from the building where he sneezed on the forest…and now….

Oh, you be a sneaky one! *Snickers*

  6. Dan Genesis says:

You really set yourself up for that one, didn’t you?

Well, since it can’t hurt, I’ll use one from robot chicken:

That’s no moon, that’s your mother!

  7. Erik says:

I was about to ask how long it might take for someone to make the “that’s no moon, it’s a spacestation”-joke. Answer: not very long indeed

  8. Chris says:

@Erik – I was pretty sure it would be in the first five and I wasn’t disappointed. 🙂

  9. Well, I’m finally finished catching up with this awesome comic. And now comes the part I hate, anxiously awaiting the next update, checking every hour or so, as I’m in a different time zone, etc, etc.

Great comic Chris! I will hopefully sooon get the money to buy stuff from the store.

  10. AwakeAgain says:

My Dad told me that the daytime moon was “The old Sun that they had to stop using when the bulb popped.”

    Stupid Dad.

  11. Forte says:

    OBJECTION!!

This is physically and scientifically inaccurate and impossible.

  12. McWarts says:

Since when has Biff been scientifically correct?
    Very funny mate.

  13. The_Entertainer says:

@Singles – You took the words out of my mouth.

  14. baughbe says:

Hey Chris, When this week is done, would you offer the five images joined as one for a wallpaper?

  15. Chris says:

    @Forte – That’s never stopped me before!

  16. Micah says:

I remember on Scrubs how the Janitor commented on the moon, saying that he thought it was the back of the sun.

  17. -2! says:

    @ Forte

Thats what makes this the Book of Biff. And yes I am someone you could call educated, currently at university for physics.

In other news nice continuation from yesterday with the forest.

  18. fluffy says:

@Forte – don’t worry, irony appears to be a lost art, having been long-since replaced by its more pugilistic cousin sarcasm. I’m sure that deep down inside, everyone who replied to you understood that you were joking.

  19. jwalters93 says:

    @Redtail

yeah, i noticed that too. huzzah for Biff!

  20. i.half4 says:

@singles: …a space station which, owing to a remarkably fortunate and incredibly improbable conjunction of time and strange proportion, is about to become a chew toy for Biff’s Big Blue dog, Fordcliffe.

  21. i.half4 says:

Once again, Biff is so behind the curve, and yet still unharmed. The moon lands right next to him, then he looks up. He sneezes, then he covers his mouth. He turns on the enlarging ray, then he figures out what happens when the thing really works.

Good thing Chris had the foresight to make Biff’s the only car in the lot that day.

  22. i.half4 says:

@Redtail: This isn’t a mystery novel. There’s no such thing as a spoiler here. And I might not have noticed that otherwise, so thanks!

    Huzzah for Redtail!

  23. MaskedMan says:

    I see a bad moon… a-rising? Hmmm. Need to re-think that lyric…

Poor Biff – Stumbling from one disaster to the next, always one action behind the curve…

  24. Elfe says:

Nice… i used to believe the Moon was Haunting me, expecially at daytime when the moon STILL turned around and followed me werever i went.

  25. Alakar Voidus says:

…That was no moon, that was a death star!!
    HAHAHAHAHAhahaha…ha…why is no one laughing?

  26. Mad David says:

    Arzades and Redtail are right!

Also, I’m taking a wild guess and guessing that the first letters of this week’s comics spell out “Grand”

  27. Drakey says:

    IT’S A SPACE STATION!

  28. bleh says:

that is right next to where he sneezed

  29. Marscaleb says:

This page made me laugh out loud!
