Chapter: Comics
Still my favorite moment in any water balloon fight is when a balloon hits me… doesn’t break… lands in a soft tuft of grass unbroken… and I then get to return it back to the original owner’s face while it still has a look of shock on it. Deeeeeeeelicious!

Successfully catching a balloon is even better, ’cause then it looks like you did it on purpose.
This is a reference to the Invader Zim episode “The wettening”, intentional or not.
This exact thing happens in that episode, red balloon and all.
Yeah that is great. One time I had a whole bucket full of water ballons and nothing to do, so we threw them at my friends car. but they bounced off it and flew high hitting the rest of the cars in the parking lot. that was fun.
totally agree about the waterbaloon fight thing. I have a great story, but- well, it’s too long. Just, thanks for reminding me.
*High Five*
What’s really fun is launching the balloon at someone wiith an aircannon, or better, a catapult!
My favorite moment in the baloon fight is when everyone attacks the guy who droped the one in his hand. It’s unspoken law if someone drops it, and fails, they get pelted by everyone.
But when it doesn’t break it hurts. =(
And yet another Biff comic that reminds me of Invader Zim! Anyone remember that episode?
wow. that just made my night/day. i was having a bad day. now i’m going to think of this cartoon when i need a laugh. thank you!
The wettening… THE WETTENIIIINNNNGGG…
Oh, I remember that episode Matt. One of the very few I ever watched of that show.
Matt…
I will never forget that episode; that was one of the first ones I ever saw…
I was thinking the exact same thing, Matt.
Yet no one has commented on how Biff does not appear in this one.
IT IS BLASPHEMY!
@Lich King: Sure he does. He’s on the main land mass, just below the 311th pixel row. You’ll have to squint, he’s almost hidden by the cloud cover.
@GIRakaCHEEZER – It can’t really be an unintentional reference if I’ve never seen the show :p
This comment is also about how this reminds me of Invader Zim.
Of course on a really hot day you want to get wet. So we invented (in our area at least) Water Balloon Baseball. No bases, a slip-n-slide and batter rotation. And that about sums up the ‘rules’.
@sabreur: That’s just a rock that looks like Biff.
Seven comments about Invader Zim and not one link?
Also, about Faraday: What do water balloons falling from space have to do with electromagnetism or electrolysis?
>:) I like the way you think Chris. NOw I wish I was in a balloon fight with a bunch of folks.
I say Biff is behind the tossing of the water balloon headed to the planet.
Uuu, getting closer to strip number one thousand! Can’t wait for the event!
You know Biff & Zim went to hi-skool together… Good times!
@i.half4 – I would have put a link but I couldn’t find any clips on youtube. I looked but there was nothing.
The proper name for a water-balloon catapult is ‘bazoonga’. Properly constructed of surgical rubber tubing and a tupperware bowl, it can toss a water bomb several blocks. At least, ours could. We built it on the roof, and could hit the El trains 3 blocks away.
For some reason, I really like the art in this one. I like that space is purple instead of straight black, haha.
This page made me laugh out loud!
