#967 – Burst

It’s very strange to have a room long enough that you can look at an object and realize that you set it down on a shelf and 20 years have gone by and it’s still sitting there exactly where you left it.

Is that a Beartato I spot?

  2. Timo says:

    R2D2 pencil sharpener! 🙂

  3. PsychoDuck says:

All those hours of playing Tetris appear to have come in handy.

    The Duck Has Spoken.

  4. Sometimes I sit something somewhere just for a second while I figure out what to do with it and it stays there for years. When I look at it and think I should move it I think “NO! THAT IS WHERE IT GOES NOW.”

  5. I doubt I’ll ever get that feeling. Space is at enough of a premium here that my spring cleaning tends to involve a partial re-organization of my room to squeeze out more space from the already packed shelves.

  6. Halceon says:

Well, in terms of tetris, this is going better than stacking pictures on the wall.

I still remember back in middle school I was helping one of my buddies clean his house before his parents came home. The place was small enough that we were able to comb through almost every inch of it before his parents came home that night. The wierdness came when we tried to clean this massive book/TV shelf in the living room. He said nothing on that shelf – or the shelf itself for that matter – had been moved essentially since before he was born. We moved the TV, and I kid you not, I reached back there and managed to pull out a dust bunny the size of my head!

    Like that purple guitar?

Still working on the theme. …(sun)burst reverse osmosis?

  9. Twilightfairy says:

Biff has some good tetris skills.

  10. Nilly says:

Wow. The shelf that’s got my angel knick-knacks hasn’t ever been dusted, I don’t think…

  11. baughbe says:

Yeah, I do the same. I guess it is time to get rid of those 5 1/4″ floppies with the DOS-5 games on them out of the way.

  12. Mophtran says:

I haven’t lived in one place long enough for this to be a problem.

  13. The Dukenator says:

@baughbe: Those disks are hard to find now. What games you got on those?

Seeing this comic reminds me of Diamond Rio’s Stuff music video

  14. tigergulp says:

    Looks like my attic

  15. Lirleni says:

in agreement with Mophtran. Been moving every year or two for the past couple decades.

  16. Acies says:

@ Lirleni: I move every year or two too, and this is just a secondary house as I’m going to school out of town… but somehow I still experience this problem O_O not the “wow! this has been here for 20years!” but definitely the “maybe I should just move to the living room if my housemates don’t object…. my room can serve as the storage room….”

  17. ladyamethyst83 says:

biff’s eyebrows look like a tv antenna. took me a sec to find biff!

  18. Eltharrion says:

aww, poor pink fluffy-thingie. It’s head/tail is being crushed by the evil objects of DOOM.

It is, Pazno! It is Beartato!

  24. Mikko says:

my bedroom is filled with speakers and computers and furniture and i have a small way to the bed 🙂

  25. Jakem says:

What’s weirder is moving and driving past your old house and seeing something you left out before you moved. I went past my old place in Kentucky not long ago and saw a sled and my old broken skateboard leaning against the shed. Guess the new residents thought they added character? Or hadn’t used the shed in the 5 years since we moved out

  26. steve says:

    It looks like a fort…

  27. dartigen says:

I haven’t stayed long enough in one place to accumulate a lot of junk, but I’m always left with the smallest bedroom so I’ve learned how use a bookshelf, a chest of drawers and the floor into all the storage space I need.

  28. The Prolific Mr. Anonymous says:

I love the little Beartato there.

  29. jwalters93 says:

i don’t know what it looks like behind the wall of stuff, but i don’t want to know. 😛

  30. ZeoViolet says:

Man he REALLY needs to go through his stuff! He even has a rotary phone still!

  31. Raiser says:

Methinks the theme is either ‘Laziness’ or ‘Unwilling to Do’.

    Unwilling to eat vegetables.
    Unwilling to do dishes.
    Unwilling to clean the room.
    Et cetera.

  32. Chris says:

    5 points to Raiser!

  33. Vrominelli says:

And five points to Chris for adding a Beartato plush!

  34. Sigurdgram says:

    BEARTATO! I LOVE NEDROID!

  35. YukiSnowflake says:

it seems that, after the date, the guitar moved in with biff, and ultimately got lost.
