#962 – Blur

I freak out multiple times a year catching a glimpse of myself in a reflective surface that isn’t normally there. Glass, metal and plastic. The most recent time was the lid to a pot that was up on top of the microwave. For a split second I thought a mouse was jumping down at me.

    Wow! Those are some eye-catching jammies!

  2. Zuruzuru says:

    Can’t say I’ve ever done anything like that.

  3. Greyryder says:

    Could be worse. Last time I had that happen to me, it was a bat that had gotten in the house, and was staring down at me from a shelf.

    And, I too like Biff’s PJs.

  4. Chris says:

    @Greyryder – Freaky!

  5. Uluru says:

    The comic took me a (few) seconds to understand what was going on. Also, this comic is funny because it is funny.

  6. Ata says:

    My guess for the weekly theme: unexpected faces
    Long time reader, first comment ^_^

  7. Chris says:

    @Uluru – Can’t argue with that logic!
    @Ata – Welcome!

    Chris, I can’t say this one makes much sense: how many people out there look like Biff? Or does Biff just not look in too many mirrors?

    (I joke, by the way, it’s a very funny comic today.)

  9. Beege says:

    I’d say Biff will have seven years’ bad luck, but I think that is his life story…

    Hehe, the other day a housemate borrowed the mirror from my room (which is normally opposite the door). When she gave it back I was like “Oh don’t worry I’ll put it back up later”. After popping in to ask a couple of other things, she storms in half an hour later and puts it back herself saying “I’m sorry, it’s just too weird coming into your room and having… wall… over there!” It is weird how much they add to your house once you’re used to them.

    Oh god I can so relate…. not in my house but in school, I didn’t grab so much as gripped this girls butt because I thought I had knocked over some kind of mannequin…. Ugh so embarrassing…

  12. Pazno says:

    @ JezMM
    LOL that is pretty funny. =)

    where are the shards of glass? ah well, very funny, when i was sick last week is walked into my mirror thinking it was my dad about to give me a hug

  14. Chris says:

    @weerd2normal – That is the funniest story!

  15. SpaceKGreen says:

    Heh, happens to me way too many times. Reflections in my computer monitor get me all the time.

    Of course it doesn’t help at all if you’ve been paranoid from a very young age. Waking up to eight beady little eyes crawling up your arm is not a pleasant experience…

    Awesome jammies, and awesome comic today. 🙂

  17. Torri says:

    Want weird? I made a suit of chain maille armor for fun. Then needed a maniquin to display it. It’s placed in the back hall facing the bathroom. People walk by it to go to the bathroom, but jump when they come out seeing it. I still hear gasps of horror when strangers come around the corner in my place.

  18. RandomSocks says:

    I want Biff’s jammies. They=epic.

  19. Radical Edward says:

    The only time I saw my reflection in something other than a mirror was in a silver sticker resembling a mirror. I work on dolls in my spare time and this doll sized mirror reflected very well.

  20. Matt Lee says:

    I can’t tell you all the times this has happened to me. Let’s just say there are a lot of broken mirrors in this world…

  21. And that’s why they call him Biff.

  22. Ph®ed says:

    At first, I thought the mirror had killed itself because horizontal stripes do NOT go well with vertical ones. That and the fact that the colors don’t work too well, either.
