#960 – Cheshire

I had a couple different night lights that projected images on the ceiling. One was the bat signal. That was cool even though it was my ceiling instead of spooky cloud cover. The other one projected images from a cartoon. I can’t remember now if it was Tom & Jerry or Scooby Doo. I do remember that it wasn’t a very good idea because I stayed up much later than I normally would watching the different scenes go by.

I remember picking out faces in the stars on my ceiling, and in the moon on the ceiling.

I just noticed that. Geez. I won’t be able to look at the moon the same way again. And I personally had the stars that lit the ceiling up. Good tims.

People forget that Spider-Man has a Spider-Signal, although for him it’s actually a flashlight on his belt that lets the criminals he’s about to attack know he’s there, rather than a spotlight summoning him to the roof of the police station.

Giant smiling cats…. there could be worse nightmares Biff, try having one about witches imprisoning their family for ages in a haunted house. 😛

I never had stars, I used to look for patters in the shadows cast by the curtain-toppers, and faces in the wallpaper.

Alice in Wonderland Week? or Story week….

I never had a night-light that projected anything, however we did have a ton of those little white plastic glow in the dark stars and celestial figures that we used the rubbery gum stuff to stick to the ceiling. Let’s just say the house I grew up in still has one ceiling that looks like the bottom of a desk in high school.

I once had a set of glow-in-the-dark plastic stars that were on my ceiling. It was so awesome! I don’t remember what happened to them!

  13. tailman says:

Matt Lee: I had a set of glow-in-the-dark stars as a kid. I don’t know where they went.

  15. Vrominelli says:

I found this one funny because this is what my parents did to make me stop sleeping with a nightlight when I was little.

Save for the moon of course…

Oh dear lord… I know the feeling of having nightmares because of that cat. I watched Alice In Wonderland when I was just a kid, and the movie, but specifically the Cheshire cat scared the crap out of me. I still can’t watch the Disney version without shuddering, let alone the Tim Burton one.

I always thought Chesshire Cat was the freakiest part of Alice in Wonderland…
