#953 – Curds

Pop-up books are super cool. I like to turn the pages back and forth in slow motion to watch the shapes form and collapse. I don’t think a Biff pop-up book would work though, it would be too irresistible to accidentally pull off his eyebrows.

Biff pop up book? Someone would lose an eye, to those eyebrows! O.O

I loved pop up books, too. The only thing that was better, was the books with the punch out paper models. It was like free toys, in a book.

By far that is the creepiest biff comic I have ever seen.

    Keep up the daily awesome!

  3. Heinrich says:

    lol _what_ is biff reading?

  4. Space Butler says:

    @Heinrich
He’s reading Cheese is Great (best book title in history).

I just wonder at the kind of cows are in the biffverse, the nose is pointing down from the bottom end of the book, but 4 legs are showing without much of a body to speak of. Genetically engineered dairy cows? beef wasted on dairy makers so I guess they get that out of the way and all it does is make milk.

wow that is one book i’m not reading to my 2 year old.. (though she might like it anyways..she loves cheese)

    What an udder disaster.

Oh come on, someone had to say it.

  8. Hershey says:

I’d love to have a cow udder in my face…

  9. Lorcan says:

Shouldn’t the name of the book be Cheese Is Grate?

My son has pop-up books that are insanely complicated, with moving bits and multi-tiered objects… I think Biff has been here! 😮

    @SilentDragon;
Clearly some sacrifices had to be made to fit the entire fold-up cow in the book…

is it just me, or does it look like biff wanted to stick his face in that..?? ^^;; look at ho he scrunches his shoulders so that his head sticks forward….. =P

I also liked to open and close my pop-up books in slow motion =D and then i’d wonder if i can make it myself =P I had a project book once that taught cool stuff like how to make popup books and bday cards with moving parts and stuff. Don’t think I’ve succeeded in a popup book yet though….

David Carter’s latest pop-up book is called White Noise. The complicated pop-ups make noise as the book is opened and closed.

Although according to the spine, that IS the recommended distance.

  14. Majikkani_Hand says:

You know, if you made the eyebrows out of something other than paper, such as wire, you could do a pop-up book of Biff without them breaking off (assuming you could design it and then somehow get it made.)

  15. AgentParsec says:

Or maybe the title shoukd have been “Cheese is Gouda”.

  16. i.half4 says:

A variation on the “cheese shop” sketch, but in limited syllables:

    Eek! Not going there.

Wire, (or even too thin paper) might be a lawsuit waiting to happen… at the very least I would THINK that some sort of “not suitable for children” type language on the cover would be required.

My coworker just saw this and gave me a funny look, sayin I’m into some weird stuff. I tried to explain it but now I think she thinks I’m into some kind of animal pr0n.

    But I LOVED this one!

Hershey: “I’d love to have a cow udder in my face…”

    I’ve lived on a farm.

I’ve seen some of the stuff/things that can get on a cow’s udder.

    No. No, you wouldn’t.

  21. i.half4 says:

Of, course! It’s a mommy long-legs. The udder may be bovine, but the rest is clearly giraffe-shaped. I’m still going with the DARK theme:
Monday: Benson Arizona (DS) Tuesday: DS again? (only the shadow knows…) Wednesday: Black Ink Thursday: Safari (the dark continent)
…And I forgot to define Tuesday’s extreme sport: The very high jump?

Jethro Tull made a pop-up album once. It was called Stand Up, and when you opened the cover, the band stood up.

some movies are scary because things just suddenly pop out and frighten you. this is an example of a book that takes the same approach. also people keep talking like the cow is malformed or something…it’s not popped up all the way. biff is in the way.
