This comic is based on a true story. Now you know why I wear long sleeve shirts when we go out to play volleyball. I realize it looks awkward with the shorts and sandals. That’s no reason to make up those songs. Come on guys. Seriously.

I understand the comic, but the post escapes me. Is there a popular song about long sleeves on the beach? (Just because I am often found inappropriately dressed at said beach…)

@Miles- I’m pretty sure he meant that the people around him at the beach are making up insulting songs off the tops of their heads.
At least Biff has something to match those rocket boxers now.
SWEET tattoo. Though I do wonder how one can sleep through the painful procedure of tattooing.
Must you be reminded of the girl who fell asleep at a tattoo parlor ended up have 56 stars tattooed instead of one that she wanted.

This IS Biff we’re talking about, the situations surprise & amuse me, but surprise that he’s in them? not at all.
That is a pretty cool tattoo, but not only does he have the boxers, he has the rocketship itself!
Dukenator, the story is true to the extent that such a girl exists who told that story, but she later revealed it to be false. She fabricated the story to avoid punishment from her parents by placing the blame for her horrible decision on the tattoo parlor.
That tat would take forever! I now have this image in my head of several tattoo artists huddled around a chair. They all suddenly disperse at once, leaving today’s comic.
Dukenator, didn’t that girl eventually admit that she was lieing, in an attempt to keep her parents from killing her?
I can believe that this happened to someone, and I would NEVER fall asleep in a place like that. I stayed asleep when the tree in our backyard got struck by lighting, knocked over some power lines, set fire to the ground in our neighbors it landed on, and the fire department putting out the blaze (waiting out the electrical fire). It made glass where the lines landed! I could sleep through some tattoos, easy.
Why don’t you fools look it up? At least, get your facts straight.

Have you never heard the song “Greensleeves?” I can think of a number of ways to make that into a taunt of someone wearing long sleeves at the beach. Especially if he’s wearing the long sleeves to cover badly-done ink sleeves! 😀
Biff must be one heck of a heavy sleeper.

Oh come on, you’ve never heard the “Longsleeves and sandals” taunt? Or how about the “Shorts and geeksleeves” torturous dirge? What about “Look at that guy wearing long sleeves at the beach to cover up embarrassing tattoos” by the Beach Boys? You all need to get out more.
On the good side, think of how much money Biff saved, a full upper tat like that costs more than 4 years in college and gets you WAY more chicks.
I now want a tattoo. A rocket tattoo.

@Masked Man: Good call on the song name, but zero points for calling the notes. I love that tune. I was thinking of something more like the closing bars from that Journey song about lovin, touchin, and crap. It took me years before I recognized the metric pattern cluing me in to the original tune and words…

In Biff’s case, it’s not all that bad, because he can just apply titanium white body paint.

Has no one ever heard of Ray Bradbury’s ‘The Illustrated Man’?! First thing I thought of when I saw that picture. Second thing being ‘That is AWESOME!’
But, they’re so comfy.

I slept through the northridge earthquake, the fireworks at disneyland, and after I moved to the gulf coast I have on several occasions slept through entire hurricanes >.> including Katrina.
Would hate to have that happen to me though, sucks for Biff.
