#912 – Accumulation

As a kid I always loved the morning of the first snow of the season. I would come down the stairs for breakfast and realize that the light filtering in through the curtains in the living room was much brighter than normal. I rush over and pull the curtains back to reveal the bright white landscape that had replaced the dreary grey from the day before.

Now that I’m an adult I get up before the sun rises. I open the front door to leave for work and… aw nuts… gotta clean off the car again.

Awh man. You get snow? Here in the valley, us Arizonians would love to see that, so I never had a “white christmas” per se. Haha.

  2. Mad David says:

    Madness,

Trust me. Snow is cold. Cold is bad.

    1. extremist343 says:

What? Absolute poppycock! Cold is good!

  3. Martinel says:

Uffda, plenty of snow here. Fairies be workin’ overtime in the Dakotas.

  4. Shorty says:

Now I’m wondering what Biff and the Snow Fairy were arguing about. In the middle of the night, no less.

  5. PsychoDuck says:

Before I came upstairs to my computer, I saw snow falling outside. Now that I see this comic, the snow has stopped. Biff stole my snow.

    The Duck Has Spoken.

  6. ladyamethyst83 says:

we had some snow here in ohio. my little brother (who’s 15) made a tiny little snowman.

  7. The Dustin says:

I like how the outside is green.
@madness: trade ya, here in Utah we we have White Halloweens.

  8. Matt Lee says:

Biff is going to get sick again!

  9. Space Butler says:

Hypothermia, Biff should sleep with more clothing.

  10. Dave D says:

@Martinel: You know it. Anyway, what I hate most about snow is the bitter cold that always follows the next day! Cold as in freeze the inside of your nostrils cold.

  11. Ziriath says:

There’s no snow in Czech republic:’-( I love snow and ice…

Yes, he should sleep with more clothing.

  12. SilentDragon says:

    @The Dustin: I believe that’s a picture,not a window
I also am on the agreeance of more clothes, especially if he’s going to be talking to snow fairies. I think he would have noticed, but if giant floor-monsters don’t cause any real trouble, then I guess a little snow wouldn’t phase him.

  13. Ha, good thing he didn’t argue with the tooth fairy…ouch

  14. Nilly says:

    Wow, Biff. Wow.

What did you do to make her mad? O_o

  15. ZeoViolet says:

NONE of you wanna be living in the midwest right now, particularly Iowa. Believe me.

  16. Chris says:

    @SilentDragon – It’s supposed to be a window. :p

  17. Zephir says:

@Mad David: Cold is bad? 🙁 I like the cold…

  18. SirBaggsQHeadington says:

Since I tend to keep my window curtain open in the winter, the first thing Isaw today was snow. I fell asleep to snow and Trans-Siberian Orchestra music. Coicidence? I think not.

  19. Tigergulp says:

I haven’t liked snow since I was living in Europe back in the 80s. You want snow? THEY get snow!

Nowadays, I turn turtle if the thermostat so much hints at 60. I hate cold! *crawls under 3 layers of blankets*

  20. TxStateWorker says:

HAH! We don’t ever see snow where I live. Oh wait, last Friday we had a good 10 minutes of flurries. That was the higlight of my day. Man I wish it would snow here the way it is up North right now. I would kill to be able to look out my window to see a white landscape. 🙂

  21. Kitsune Dzelda says:

Obviously a few more folks have been arguing with the snow fairy because its falling in blocks here.

  22. -2! says:

Ah, winter. This year set the latest first snowfall on recored at Person International Airport. Personally I like the stuff, being a skier and all. The only thing I don’t like about snow is removing it and the snowplow residue from the driveway. I still remember the one year that the snowplow decided to pile the 6-foot tall mound of snow beside our driveway on our lawn back onto our driveway. We had to reseed that portion of our lawn come summer.

  23. sco3tt says:

I lose that same fight every year, as I rail against the coming winter. And if you don’t believe me, look at what happened today here i Michigan.

  24. DTanza says:

The snow fairy is such a brat…

  25. ZeoViolet says:

The Snow Fairy has moved her temper tantrum to the midwest. Man, she blows!

  26. Torg says:

Guys, stop insulting the snow fairy. You saw what happened to Biff.

  27. killjoy99 says:

Awesome!!!!!! First snow day of the school year!!!!

  28. speakerblast says:

snow stayed on for the first time on the exact same night of this comic. Crazy.

  29. Linzleh says:

1st flurries today in Missouri, obviously Biff has distracted the snow fairy for a month! We thought it was just global warming…

  30. no name says:

    Haha. Very nice.

  31. DtLe says:

December 4, 2009: The day it snowed in Houston, Texas. It was my first time seeing real snow.

  32. HL2freak says:

    Yay, mythical creatures week!

  33. Ryu Serpentine says:

It snowed here in PA Saturday night, knocked out our power from 7:00PM to 1:00AM so we were freezing all night
wonder if i pissed that fairy off somehow?

  34. Juniper says:

Here in Montana, nothing is different if it snows. School is in session, you have to be to work on time, professors get mad if you’re late. The only time anything shuts down is if it gets so cold that the diesel school busses won’t start because it’s so cold. It’s been -20F here for the past week…I’ll trade anyone up there who says they love snow but never get it 🙂

  35. Radical Edward says:

I love when it snows. Especially at nighttime. It seems more magical. And once the snow has accumulated, I like looking outside at night and seeing a maroon sky.

  36. ray10k says:

Cirno, that is the ninth time this month that you have frozen someone. STOP IT!!!
(touhou joke, don’t worry if you don’t get it)

  37. Sampson says:

I’m a snowboarder, I love snow, I don’t love ice though, ice hurts

  38. TROLOLOLOL says:

@ Madness here in NJ we hardly ever get snow and if we do we never have enough for like sledding and if we do we are busy! It isn’t fun here!:(
