#909 – Vapor

Sometimes the cold or flu will make me lose my appetite. I just won’t really even think of food. But other times one of the symptoms is a burning wall of fire living in my throat. This usually results in me wanting food more and more but not being able to do anything but smell it.

It’s basic human psychology, Chris. People tend to want what they know they can’t have.

  2. Madness says:

Ah, I hate that feeling! I’ll be sick as a dog, and I’ll want to eat, but I’ll have a really sore throat, kind of getting rid of the point of eating. =(

I can endure any symptom a cold can throw at me but that! I hate the concept of the sore throat! I am so glad when it’s gone and I can get on with the rest of my cold in peace!

But hey, putting you chicken soup in the air just might be the best idea Biff has ever devised! Other than the steam powered thinking cap.

  4. Space Butler says:

    @Shorty
Quite true, unless Biff has learned how to breath chicken soup or absorb it through his pores

Truthfully, sore throats have never bothered me, nor deterred me from eating when I was sick. The thing that would always get me was when my nose would be so clogged up I’d lose my sense of smell – and by extention my sense of taste. If I can’t taste the food, why bother eating it? Mind you, I’ll still eat provided I’m starving enough, but that’s probably the only thing about colds or being sick in general that ever really gets to me

Usually eating something rids me of sore throats, but majority of my sore throats are caused by reflux agitation and eating something clears out the cause. usually, but I hate losing my appetite to the point of being nauceous when I smell food…
I don’t think I will be able to fully appreciate Biff’s invention, I just wonder what happens when all the chunks congregate at the exit, or does it just keep it heated? Hard to tell since it looks a lot like a food processor.

  7. Ahh, brings back so many memories from…a few days ago

  8. Nilly says:

Coffee helps sore throats so much. I’m not sure if it scours the pain and bacteria away, or if it just soothes the inflammation, but ever since I discovered this power of hot coffee I drink it whenever I’ve a sore throat.

Which recently is every day, though it’s more an itchy one…

I wonder if coffee can be vaporized like chicken noodle soup.

  9. Ziriath says:

In our country is quite popular plum brandy. It tastes terrible, but its a good desinfection for sore throat.

  10. baughbe says:

There is always the intravenous solution. But you have to get the extra large IV tubes to accommodate the noodles.

  11. Tigergulp says:

Its called a juicer, you lazy sick ppl :3
Add bananas, apples, spinach, pomergrante juice, celery; blend; depulp; add straw. Enjoy!

  12. Beege says:

Ew. Noodles in the veins. I’d like to see how the heart handles those.

And I do believe Biff has found the best solution. Ever. He thinks outside the box so well.

  13. Mike says:

I haven’t had a sore throat for about a year at this point, but it’s definitely the worse. When swallowing becomes an agonizing few seconds of pain, it just isn’t worth it anymore to eat or drink.

  14. frullic says:

I think I’ll try it right now, I think I caught h1n1 but it might just be a really really bad cold.

  15. MoosePhysh says:

I like how Biff’s eyebrows look limp and sickly too.

  16. Hershey says:

Last time I got sick with vomiting, my parents decided to go get me some chinese food. Gee, thanks, now I’ll puke more.

I hate being sick and wanting soup, though, because I can’t eat chicken noodle soup D:

I have a lot of electronics in my room that are very dear/expensive to me, and I suffer from dry sinuses. I’m afraid to put the vaporizer in the same room that i sleep in because i don’t want to lose my robot arm… er, i mean my collection of computers. I’d insulate them but then I’d worry about overheating.

  18. steve-o says:

Ugh, that happened to me a few days ago.

  19. Vannah says:

The worst that ever happened to me was when my throat was so sore that I felt like I needed water or I’d die, but I would throw up every time I drank something. 3 in one night too…

  20. killjoy99 says:

Take a hot steamy shower, always helps my throat/nose!!!

  21. Random says:

Huh.. I never though of putting chicken noodle soup in one of those things.

  22. sco3tt says:

I hate when the noodles get all stuck in the outlet. I switched to Chicken and Stars, it cleared that problem right up.

  23. Kitsune Dzelda says:

Awwww, Biffs got a cold…. Hope he gets better!

  24. Nokore says:

@Kitsune Dzelda: He’s Biff; he gets over everything. No worries~
