#822 – Binary

I’ve never played a real game of golf. Just the miniature kind. We did like to hit golf balls around the neighborhood as kids. Thinking back on it now I’m surprised that we didn’t break any windows or get in trouble for wrecking our father’s clubs.

    AHAHAHA

I bet he uses a ukulele while on the green.

  2. Skydiver Todd says:

So does Biff use an electric in place of his irons and acoustic in place of his woods? Or vice versa? I would think he’d be able to drive farther with a good electric guitar…

  3. Space Butler says:

I can’t imagine him driving the ball very far after scooping up a square foot of earth. Also, I’ve only played miniature golf as well, and honestly, don’t intend to play real golf until they decorate the big courses with gaudy obstacles.

  4. I used to play mini golf, but it doesn’t really interest me anymore. I generally agree with Mark Twain on regular golf… Golf is a good walk spoiled.

  5. Hershey says:

I’m still trying to figure out how he didn’t break the guitar, but he managed to scoop up grass with it. Is he also trying to dig for treasure with this combination?

  6. Nicoli20 says:

If Biff were to aim a few inches higher, I bet he could combine those hobbies successfully. =)

  7. Felix says:

I don’t mind golf. When (If) I grow up i’ll probably like it. XD

  8. Orbitton says:

This week is the opposite from what we had some weeks ago. Rather then the picture staying virtually the same, now the text doesn’t change. Oh, the versatility of Biff. =)

  9. Chris says:

    @Orbitton – Ding, ding, ding!

  10. MaskedMan says:

    Rockets.
    On the balls.
    Tell me it wouldn’t work.

  11. Nilly says:

Ah, golf. Good times on the mini course.

.. Of course, said minigolf course is now ruined by years of disinterest and lack of management…

  12. baughbe says:

My dad played golf, my older brothers played golf. Dad tried ONCE to teach me golf. After 11 holes he gave up, pale and shaking. Just as I was about to go into triple digits. Aren’t you supposed to break 100?

  13. Deadite says:

Actually, I like that combination… might actually hit the ball for once…

  14. Croc says:

    Mmm… golf. Great sport.

So, how far did the ball travel after the guitar hit it? I’m in need of a new driver, and my guitar is broken…

  15. sco3tt says:

Cinderella story. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac… It’s in the hole! It’s in the hole! It’s in the hole!

  16. Skydiver Todd says:

While I had my earlier question about what he uses for woods versus irons, all in all, I tend to agree with most here about golf.

Personally, golf courses are a waste of potential runways and drop zone landing areas…

  17. Radical Edward says:

Yeah, I think this week, we are treated to different images, but the caption remains the same.

I only played miniature golf and I got to say that it bores me to tears.

  18. -2! says:

i remember that time you forgot your face Chris. Came all the way there and couldn’t take a picture of it.

Can’t remember where it was now though.

  19. Chaos Kiwi says:

    Imagine combining basketball and ping-pong.

  20. MadDavid says:

@Hershey: Somehow, it makes sense that Biff’s musical instruments would have to be as invincible as he is.

@MaskedMan: As I’ve stated, *any* problem can be solved with the correct application of rockets. They’re the second most useful household item after flamethrowers. So there’s no point in making “can be fixed with rockets” a part of the theme.

  21. ThatSomethingGuy says:

Ah backyard golf. Teaching my little brother, standing too close, swing, bleeding, pain, stitches…

Yeah, I was standing too close to my brother who gave a mighty swing. My mother inside the house heard the *clink* of golfclub on tooth. Nothing was broken, but I did need 5-7 stitches on the outside of my upper lip, and a few more on the inside. It wasn’t awesome.

  22. Sigurdgram says:

this reminds me of space jam, when the guy who played newman on seinfeld was digging up the golf course to get micheal jordan back. they ask what he’s doing in a ten foot deep, fifteen foot radius hole in the ground, and he claims he’s “fixing a divot.”

  23. Dude says:

    That’s one heckuva strong guitar.
