Chapter: Comics
I seem to grasp large amounts of new information easier if I’m doodling while that information is looking for a way inside my head. I can look back at the doodles and a lot of what I was thinking about at the time will come flooding back. Now that I think about it, this is probably related to how easy geometry was for me back in high school. That was one of the rare classes that I was expected to be drawing pictures the whole time.

Why didn’t *I* think of this..? God knows I’ve tried every other form of studying…

you’re not the only one!
the paper juice looks… well, like sick if we’re being frank
I remember I would eat paper…just because? and I still do…a little weird, yes
Looks like gravy, living gravy. On a related note, while I consider myself a visuospatial person, the only thing I remember from Geometry (8th grade) was a proof. The teacher couldn’t solve one of the books problems, but I went all-out and proved it. I had to read it to the class. Yet somehow, I wasn’t accepted by the real nerds ’til four years later.
Just think of all the kings who wanted to absorb their new subjects in liquid form!
Next book up on the blender list is… Origin of Oranges? xD
Origin of Oranges huh?
gonna go out on a limb and say…. “ways to get information week”
Information week?
I usually listen to music. Listening to the song again helps me remember. It’s the only reason I can remember almost exactly what happened in that episode of Medium where they kept playing ‘Viva La Vida’.
It tends not to work in exams though…though I’m still not sure how you can cheat with an iPod. Unless you went all-out and voice-recorded information or something…
Origins of Oranges!?! Brilliant! Solving the age old question: What word rhymes with oranges?
I thought it would be the origin of Orange, the prophet of the Pie God or whatever it is on the forums now.
I can’t remember where I saw the article about it, it may have been on the NY Times or something, but there was a small correlation study (Can’t remember the psyche group that hosted it) that showed that even absent minded scribbling, while learning or memorizing something, could allow up to at least a twenty percent higher retention rate. Not sure how they measured that, I’ll need to hunt down the NY Times article again to find out for sure.
Hello! ^^ I’ve just finished reading through the archives this weekend, and I hafta say, I really love it. Biff is just so awesome. You’ve got yourself a new reader, Chris!
Possible Quick Way Around week.
Quick way around, information, kitchen supplies, all of the above…
Or something completely different.
Studying for final exams that are coming up after Spring Break! Way to keep us college kids thinking about school even during Spring Break, man. Thanks.

Lord if only that had been possible back in all my math and foregin language classes…I’d have been brillant! That or really constipated XD
A drink with a high pulp content.
Consider yourself lucky that you found that out early in life. I’m in my second year of college and learning for me is still hit or miss.
You should google “mind mapping” , this totally works.
I’m studying/revising for GCSEs. I’ve got the exams starting in two months time. :(. Sucks to be me 🙁 .
Door-hinge
That CANT be good for him.
I use rock music to learn stuff
Most of my “SATs” were done with Led Zeppelin songs in my mind’s background
Awww…Biff is cramming for mid-terms!
I prefer to learn by osmosis, simple absorbtion of information through the skin. And apparently so do my cats because they’re always sleeping on any books I don’t promptly place back on the shelf. I’m starting to think they’re better read than I am….
I heard of information passing through one ear and out the other, but in this case… >_<
tonight, I will imbibe the wing of the buffalo
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! NOT THE BOOKS!!!!! T_T I love books…they give me something to do when i’m tired of games and computers…
I remember what i read. but when asked a question during class, i get so stressed trying to find the information in my brain that i invariably for get it. So when the verbal pop quizzes come up I doodle then when i hear the question im like “what?…oh um,(Right answer here)” then i continue doodleing. this made me a popular pick among groups, though i think it was just to see my doodles mostly. i remember one kid in my class was AMAZED by this and i would give him my doodles after class.
