One of my favorite stories my wife tells is a simple one from when she was a little girl. Her family went out for the day and returned home with each of the kids getting their own bright helium balloon. When their mom opened the back door to the car a gust of wind sucked Amanda’s balloon out and it rushed up into the sky, high above the trees. Amanda watched as the balloon grew smaller and then turned to her mom… “Mom, get it!”

My mom woulda then proceeded to make fun of me in subtle and humourous ways. She is hilarious like that.
Mechanical enhancements week!
Multiple possible themes here, indeed, but clearly my “cartoon-themed mechanic enhancements” applies.
I think I did an ok job guessing, considering it was my first try.
Ok so…Mazinger, Inspector Gadget *mutters the tunes*
Mmmmh what else could be there… Transformers? Robotech? Astroboy?
Any further suggestions? Much as I grew up watching much of that stuff, I’m not American so it’s not as pervasive to my background.
@Space Butler: Please tell me your nick’s an Excel Saga reference. You’ll make me a happy man in ways no man should rightly be able to.
I’m thinking the theme is Biff getting improvements/changers, considering this ones and the last one are titled: Enhance and Augment
I see that Biff has got some “hand-y” issues…Bionic parts can be a hassle! Perhaps the theme could be: the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing?

I agree with MythMonk. Inspector Gadget Biff
How could it be Inspector Gadget week? He always says “Go-go-gadget _____!”, but Biff never says a word and thus wouldn’t be able to have a propeller pop out of his head. XP
And in the rush to figure out the theme, we have neglected Biff and his long lost balloon! I wonder how, if Biff was real, he would react to our comments about him…
@MythMonk: While having LeChuck in your avatar makes you preternaturally awesome, I honestly don’t remember Inspector Gadget ever shooting his hands like in Monday’s strip. That was totally Mazinger.
@Reg: Now that’s a good question. I’d wager a strip related to that (since all of Biff’s actual actions happen in the form of strips), would go something like:
