Chapter: Comics
There are lots of little things that quietly disappear in my house. A sock, a hairpin, an old remote control. They are usually the sorts of things that you don’t immediately notice when they vanish. “Hmm… didn’t I have a BLUE pen over here? I guess I’ll just use this black one.” Then the day comes in the near future where where an object of vital importance is knocked over and slips in between the dresser and the wall. You pull the dresser out to retrieve your precious ring and… “Hey, there’s that pen I always liked… cool.”

big things in small places
That happened once with a rental from Blockbuster and I got charged for it. Now I’m the not-so-proud owner of “Timeline.” I want my $6 back.
He’d better cancel that police report…..!
Trans-dimensional mice, obviously. I wonder how good Biff is at designing fjords..?
Heh, they all three have sentence of jokes.
Um…sorry. I mean each of these comics have only one sentence for their jokes.
Big things, tight spaces week.
Replace Biff with Garfield or Heathcliff and see what happens next.
Biff reminds me of MouseHunt. This one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mousehunt
lol, if it’s mice, I’d seriously like to know what they’re watching! If we have enough overlapping tastes, and they agree to doing chores for me, things can be shared.
If it’s neighbors…not only are they stealing Biff’s TV but also using his wall socket the cheap bastards.
@Kurast: Hey, if you read this…I was wondering, where did you get that nickname? I know it’s the name for a place in the Diablo Blizzard games, but did you get it from anywhere else? Seen it around maybe? Or did you just come u with it on your own ‘cos it sounded cool?
about lost stuff:
I never lose even moderately significant stuff indefinitely really, except for a very few occasions. Mostly, if I can’t find it it’s hidden under everything else (job and life make me pile up a huge amount of stuff in a tiny space).
But I find it, eventually. Especially if I really need it so I make a serious searching effort. Most of the time I just know where it should be, more or less.
I’m the kind of person that just doesn’t understand why everyone says “you don’t know where anything is!” just ‘cos my stuff is messy. I have a good memory, they know that much. And I don’t have much room either, so it’s not like I have to remember where everything is in my big fabulous mansion…
I do outwit myself hiding stuff sometimes though. Took me forever to find things like my passport (good thing I don’t need it for the closest countries). I tend to hide such things ‘cos way too many people come to this place.
I effectively lost my bank card a while ago, even forgot I hid it ‘cos I was gonna be out of the city for a while. So when I couldn’t find it, I asumed I lost it and asked for a new one. This was like in 2006 maybe.
Now, about a month ago, cleaning up the place, I found the old card, very well-hidden. Too well-hidden.
Isn’t it funny when you’re a victim of your own skills? lol
I’m always losing the kinds of things that aren’t easily lost – things like pants, or frying pans. Where do they go? Where?
@Micah – 99% of the comics are just one sentence.
This is way too close to home :). I have a cabinet in my kitchen that houses only shopping bags and my crock pot. I didn’t use my crock pot for a couple months, and when I looked in the cabinet – the carrying bag it came with was there, but no crock pot! I’ve searched every inch of my apartment, but to no avail. I’m sure it will show up in some strange place in a year with no indication of how it arrived there…
Squeeze week?
I usually don’t lose things easily – I can remember where I’ve put things, unless someone moves them (there’s a reason why my bedroom door is locked all day).
Now, files on my computer…let’s just say that the Search function and I are very well-acquainted.
One question: How did the mouse get the TV thru that tiny hole? TV might be a 52″ LCD widescreen with surround sound system attached. No wonder Biff couldn’t sleep at night, too much bass was shaking the bed & the house
I lost my keys three times yesterday. It took me about an hour to find them each time.
I lost them in the same place each time.
A-HA! Biff’s world isn’t even near perfect: there are mice that steal your TV! In your face, maniac-depressive-other-personality-thing-of me! (and also my friend’s).
Really, first I thought about something like “post week” (post planes flying trough rain and postmen delivering really impossible packages). But, then I couldn’t get up with any kind of connection between mice that steal TVs and post office. So, “finding out new stuff” – week? Wait… That’s the theme of allmost every Biff comic week.
Heh, owned, lol.
We are always losing knives. We have bought 3 or 4 kitchen knives which get moved around the house for cake or stuff, and never return.
Unplug it and cover the outlet! That’ll teach ’em!
Sometimes, a pen can fall off my desk and I bend down to get it and it disappears, seriously. I dropped a pencil, searched in a five foot radius and found it in the most obscure spot between two boxes. Although one of those boxes was ‘Risk’ so it may have not just have been nature.
If the mouse can move the TV into the hole by himself, I say let him have it. If you try to get it out, you up facing something like Mr. Mouse from Courage the Cowardly Dog.
And you don’t want that.
@Chris–Touche.
When Zaffa said big things tight spaces I suddenly blushed.
I`m a sicko….
Factoid: Everyone has a mini black hole into which falls incidental but momentarily crucial items. Fortunately, in Biff’s world there are traceable clues…the rest of us search in vain. In fact, I have completely “lost” any clue to this week’s theme!
It’s kinda bad when you clean your desk off and you find your 23 page essay that was due last term lol
the worst is when you lose things and after an hour of looking you find them were they are supposed to be.
okay thats not the worst, the worst is when someone calls you to help them find something and it is in the spot they determined it is supposed to be 🙁
Getting big things through small openings week
I’d be pretty mad if mice got away with my television. The cats in my house would be in big trouble for not catchingkilling mice.
