#649 – Slither

This comic makes me think of the Flintstones and how most of their technology was animal based. I think my favorite was always their cameras. Inside the camera lived a little bird that would use it’s beak to carve the image onto a stone tablet. It made perfect sense to me as a kid.

I remember those little birds in the camera. While that one was hilarious to watch, my personal favorite “Appliance” in the flinstones was the pig that lived under the sink and ate all the garbage that they dumped down it. When I was little I wanted to buy a pig that could live under our sink, if only to impress my friends.

I always liked the lamp bird best.

Animal cruelty or ingenuity with animals at it’s best? Either one, I want one of those creatures.

Animal Technology is always fascinating. Cruel, but fascinating.

I wonder if the snake is still alive?

    CAMEO ALERT!

PsychoDuck has been given the honor of being placed in Biff’s pool.

    Or it’s a relative…

Actually, hey, Psych, is that your brother…?

  7. Kurast says:

And by pool I meant tub

  8. MaskedMan says:

Well, some snakes, like anaconda, sometimes actually hunt from in the water. Maybe Mr. Rubber Duckie there is in deep, deep trouble…

  9. Snakes in general love soaking in water…so yeah, it’s probably still in the pipe.

  10. DTanza says:

    There`s a snake in there?

HEY PHYCO DUCK GET OUT THERE`S A SNAKE IN THEM THERE PIPES!

haha my favorite Flinstone appliance was the remote control it sorta reminded me of my grandfather’s remote: he’d yell at one of us to change the channel so he didn’t have to get out of his chair

I liked the vacuum, I can’t quite remember but I think it was an elephant or something that sucked everything up with its nose. That totally defies all laws of physics…

My favorite was always the bird that used his beak as a needle for the record player. Every so often he would look up at you out of the TV and say “It’s a living.”

I’d be interested to see how they’d “update” some of the technology in the show. F’rinstance, how would you depict a computer? Or a cell phone? or an mp3 player?

  15. MadDavid says:

MP3 player is easy: A parrot.

  16. El pinguino bilingue says:

for the computer, a bunch of black an white rats would live in it, representing 0s and 1s.

  17. PsychoDuck says:

I don’t get why Biff insists on calling in other people if I’m right there. I mean, come on! I’m a rubber duck, what can’t I do?

    The Duck Has Spoken.

  18. Gaara1357 says:

I LOVED the bird on the record player…if it’s a living then what does he get payed?

  19. YukiSnowflake says:

    @psychoduck
Do you WANT us to answer that?
    ‘Cos…
you cant stop MY rubber duck from floating upside down!
And (*before you ask*) it’s not suicidal, i poked holes in it, okay!
