#623 – Thermal

I eat plenty of perfectly normal meals throughout the year. So why is it that I’ll brew up a super-hot cup of tea and totally wreck my tongue the day before going out to a fancy expensive restaurant? “Yeth, thith stheak ith fantathtic!”

i always end up burning my tongue on something i know i should let cool off. like hot chocolate. i blow on it forever and i just assume it is cooled off enough to take a big gulp from. im usually wrong about that one…

Ah! Another Biff in pain! You’ve been doing that this week and I realized how much I’ve missed it.

  3. Chris says:

Wow that’s just freaky, I love this episode of Biff.

  5. It’s a wonder the plate (and table) didn’t combust.

  6. Bee says:

I can sympathise. I do that too 🙂

  7. RG says:

I hate it when that happens… and yes, why didn’t the plate and table combust or melt?

  8. Micah says:

Biff had them heat proofed, duh! Biff just forgot to do it to his head.

  9. MaskedMan says:

Nothing gives mouth burns like molten cheese…

Aug, that’s funny, I did the same thing last night, but with sausage and rice. XD I have a numb itchy spot on my tongue now.

  11. Well, I was close…this is funnier.

  12. Linus says:

I ate lasagna today at school.. brought it with me and micro’d it.

My face didn’t melt, though it was a close call…

  13. Daniel says:

I seem to have a super-human resistance to hot foods. I can eat food straight off the stove or out of the oven without any problem. Same goes for hot chocolate or coffee. My girlfriend stopped taking bites of my food because she was always burning her tongue.

  14. Fishy says:

Yeah, same here. I went over to a friend yesterday who made us some boiling hot tea. He immediately started to drink it and I was all like: “How can you drink that!”.

  15. Twilightfairy says:

@ Daniel sorta got the same thing with my best gal pal. She usually steals bites out of my food until i order something spicy.

Heh, Biff has the ability to melt. That’s awesome

  16. Zege says:

MeltMan, with the power to melt!

  17. Kurast says:

    I can’t have anything hot.

I even put like 5 ice cubes into hot cocoa or else my tongue gets devastated.

  18. DTanza says:

Ow that happens to me far to many times….

    Chris…marry me….

  19. Curious Lime says:

I recently ate a slice of homemade pizza straight from the oven. The melted cheese was perfectly positioned so that I burnt not my tongue but the roof of my mouth. It was rather painful. Skin was peeling off it for the next two days.

  20. Reg says:

Looks like Biff needs to go grab a spare head…

  21. random person says:

Ironic, I just burned my mouth on todays lunch at school, and then this.

  22. Chris says:

    @Curious Lime – AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  23. Trevor says:

Do Biffs eyebrows seem thicker in this one?

  24. Pilgrymm says:

It only takes about an hour for your tongue to heal from a mild scalding such as hot food. Even piercing holes will close up in less than two hours if left without the stud.

  25. wisp says:

    few things in this world are worse than rocket hot cheese….. you get that in your mouth and you cant seem to get it out fast enough. it burns like molten lead ;_;

  26. DaemonThanatos says:

hehe…ouch. i remember my first food burn…though the weird part is that afterwards, I never burned my tongue again no matter how hot the food was…which makes me proud to say the following: I can drink my coffee while it’s still fresh.
