When I was a kid there were 2 ice cream treats I would make at home for myself. The first being vanilla ice cream with crushed pineapple and chocolate syrup. I think they were just common ingredients to have at my house. We went to an ice cream shop recently for dessert and I ordered this to give myself a flashback. My backup plan was vanilla ice cream with powdered chocolate milk mix sprinkled on top. I would stir the ice cream and the powder until it softened and became like chocolate soft serve. It’s weird because I really dislike the the taste of premade chocolate ice cream… but I love my home made version.

the Fibonacci sequence is found in many things of nature…one of these things is pineapples. the way the scales on the skin wrap around…something to do with that.
I’d have a hard time eating that for two reasons:
1: I don’t like pineapple
2: It’s… Kinda big.

The Fibonacci sequence is best explained with the shell of a nautilus (some species are extinct) since an extra chamber is added as it grows.
I love ice cream, but never the sundaes that had fruit in them.
I don’t like store-bought chocolate ice cream either. It’s too strong. I do, however, like vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup completely mixed into it. Mm.
Oh man, the best in the world is vanilla ice cream with milo mixed in. Yeeeeah.
I used to stir grape soda into vanilla icecream. Curiously, nobody makes concord grape flavor icecream.
One of my favorites was butter brickle, which has become the unobtanium flavor. Heath toffee crunch is close, but it’s not butter brickle!
Somebody else adds chocolate milk mix to their ice cream?
Oh well– it still tastes good.
Well, since a pineapple is not actually a real fruit (just a bunch of fleshy leaves on a fleshy stem, hence the spiky thingies on the end of each ‘segment’), and the leaves on it are positioned like on any other normal plant, Fibonacci’s law applies.
The angle between successive leaves approaches the Golden Ratio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio#Relationship_to_Fibonacci_sequence), which — accidentally — is the same as the fraction between two successive Fibonacci numbers.
Hope it made this a bit clear for those who didn’t understand.
Things that are good: Tillamook ice cream. I don’t know if they sell it outside Oregon. They make it at the cheese factory in Tillamook, Oregon. Sometimes it floods there and the cows float or something.
Peanut Butter in Vanilla ice cream. Other ice cream flavors work too.
Tillamook cheese: It’s not ice cream, and I bet it’s not too good to mix them.
A story: Once, my mom and I were eating at a restaurant mid week, so I ordered a chocolate Wednesday. It took the waitress (oops, do I have to be PC? Food Service Attendant?) a few seconds, but she got it. I still think she brought me a sundae though, but it was good.
My personal fave is Pecan Praline. Sweet bits of goodness mixed in with the vanilla. MMMMMMMMMM!

I always order cookie dough. It’s like two desserts in one! You have cookies as well as ice-cream! How could you go wrong?
I’m the (pardon my lack of words) douche-bag who eats all the strawberry ice-cream in a neapolitan and leaves chocolate and vanilla for everyone else. It’s not nice and all, but first come first serve. They should know better by now, to either stop buying the ice-cream or get to it before I do.
Fibonacci numbers geek me out! When ever I find a Fibonacci pattern I get excited. =o
Mmm….I love pumpkin pie ice cream. Missed the chance recently to go check out my local Baskin Robin’s for it, since they only serve it during the Thanksgiving week. Otherwise, it’s coffee or rum raisin. Who doesn’t love caffeine and alcohol?
The fibonacci sequence applies to the pineapple. The number of fruitlets in the spirals of the pineapple will always be a number in the sequence.
@steam punk: I like the people who eat the strawberry ice cream because I don’t like it; I just eat everything else.
And poor Biff trying to make smart decisions and he gets a pineapple in ice cream. Maybe I’ll try some of the other ice cream combinations other people posted…
I totally do the Vanilla icecream with powdered chocolate mix thing. It’s my fave treat. But hands-down best icecream I’ve ever had, although I guess that it was, technically, gellato, was in Italy (I think Rome). If you’re ever there, go to Della Palma and order mandarine orange gellato. It’s like eating the juiciest orange you’ve ever tasted, on top of it being ice cream, which is by far the greatest invention ever!

Oh, I totally hate the pre-made chocolate ice cream too! It tastes like it must be made at least half out of coolant gunk they scrape when cleaning the facilities.
I totally hate pineapple though except on Pizza and I think things where they are pretty minor ingredients.
