The shirts are here and they look great! Click the pic to see a larger shot of me modeling the first shirt out of the box. The shirt orders will start shipping today. I’d love to see some pictures of other people wearing them. Send me pictures of yourself wearing a shirt or reading the book and with your permission I’ll post some of them right here. I’m interested to see some of the places that I have been sending packages to. Does anyone live near a cool local monument that they could photograph themselves in front of with a book or shirt?
I honestly didn’t get it until I saw the title. Great job.
OK, this has Soooooo many possible interpretations…
Are his stairs an escalator, after all? Is the dimmer attached to the speed control?
Is the pitch of the stairs variable, adjusted via rheostat?
Or is the angle of the tread variable, and adjusted via rheostat? (That would make for one *very* strange set of stairs!)
My guess is that the stairs have a variable coefficient of friction, adjustable etc, etc. That could be fun… But i’d have *never* trusted my younger self with variable-frictino stairs. The temptation to abuse them IRT my siblings would’ve been *far* too much to resist!
Heee heee heee!
reminds me of scooby doo… when the bad guy has the set of stairs that turns into a ramp… maybe thats what his dimmer switch does, changes the angle fo the stairs.
Genius. I love it!
I want that staircase. For riding, as well as screwing around with my cats
The Duck Has Spoken.
biff has the awesomest house EVER
I like this one a lot. It makes you think, but you can actually arrive at a conclusion. I still am confused by ‘Squirt”.
You know, I’d like to be friends with Biff. He seems to lead the strangest life. I’m sure crazy antics would happen all the time.
@ Sleepingorange:
Isn’t it obvious? Penny’s his girlfriend
The Duck Has Spoken.
SUPER FUN HAPPY SLIDE!
Ooo, I can’t wait for book and shirt.
iz dontz getz itz
At first the switch made Biff grin
now on the floor he frowned
You can go down the stair up,
but not up the stairs down
Ladies and gentlemen, please put your seat backs and tray tables in their upright and locked positions, obey the No Smoking and Fasten Seat Belt signs, and read the titles before deciding you don’t get the joke.
If Biff ever decides to sell his house and move, whoever lives in his house next is going to be in for a lot of surprises.
I can see the wisdom in the dimmer switch, though. Since he’s at the bottom of the stairs and facing out, he must have stated at the top, which means there are actually two dimmer switches there; one at both ends. that would make going down faster and he could reset it to go back up.
I this an “S” theme week?
This is the coolest idea! Stairs are
wonderful going up, but terribly
innefficient going down. “Dimming”
them into a slide is awesome!!!
I don’t get it at ALL.
wow! that must be so much fun (if there was a dimmer switch at the top and the bottom though). although half-dimmed must be extremely painful.
Wish we had that for my dorms. That’d make the stais more fun than waiting forever for the elevator.
You’re lucky you have an elevator in your dorm. Third floor is great and all, but it SUCKS right after you come back from running.
@maskman:Escalator? We all know that houeses don’t come with escalators *refrence*
Haha, I wish I had slidey stairs! That would be wicked awesome.
And Chris, I like your arm freckles. =)
I find that arm freckles are vastly underrated in the grand scheme of cool physical features.
Whoa! Where you live are the electrical outlets really side by side? I’ve only seen them arranged vertically.
Sarkreth, yep they are like that in my house. I have seen them vertical in other places and that always seemed weird to me.
Tyler Vossler Says: “You know, I’d like to be friends with Biff. He seems to lead the strangest life. I’m sure crazy antics would happen all the time.”
You have a point there, Tyler. Hey Chris! If Biff gets popular enough, you could make a TV show off of him. Maybe.
Biff seems more Anime/Manga-ish to me, though…
hmmm….
“Biff’s (Mis/Ad)Ventures! Watch as the amaizing Biff creates ingenious devices to handle enemies, villians, and Life itself, and then fight once more against his own creations in a never-ending cycle of wacky, crazy, hilarious and inexplicably painless fun!”
Hehe…”Inexplicably painless”…
I totally wish that was real! The cartoons I’d act out…
I think Biff should have a his own philosophy. After all that he’s gone through and learned from first hand experience, I gather he’s very wise… or quite the opposite!
I’m pretty sure, though, that Chris is a genius for coming up with all this stuff!
@Trevor:
I know – that’s why I said “after all.” Perhaps previously Biff simply hadn’t hit the right switch?
I still like the variable coefficient of friction. That would be Soooooo cool… To have stairs you could make more slippery than ice, on command.
rofl, his house is very hazaardous, living room of lava, kitchen with spring-loaded tiles, skylights in 1st floor bathroom, and now and also a slope control on his stairs! I’m surprised the safty inspectors didn’t shut his house down. lol
