#375 – Sticky

Chapter: Comics
I used to write a lot of notes to myself and stick them on my monitor. It didn’t seem to really help me get things done though. After you have 7 or 8 of them staring at you every day they start to blend in to the rest of the background noise. Now I set alarms for myself in iCal. That way I have to actively ignore the things I don’t want to do.

iCal is a nifty little program, isn’t it?
I also leave myself the occaisional sticky, too, so every time I go to use a widget (which is frequently), that little yellow flash reminds me of some-thing.
34?
Could this mean…Biff likes rule 34?
mega…i was thinkin the same thing
my fridge has a better memory than i do, and it doesnt even have any notes on it.
Mega beat me to it.
34? Perhaps that’s how old he’ll be next birthday =P
34…you do know that you and whoever else sees today’s comic will be thoroughly tormented on what it means ’til the day you die. it’s just like those times someone says something and you can’t hear them so you ask them to repeat it but they won’t until 7 hours later and it turns out they compared someone’s face to Angelina Jolie. what a disappointing day that was.
He’s reminding himself to keep his hands inside the bus at all times. He does not want to relive that apparently.
He could just be trying to remember what comes after 32…
Or 33?
hahaha, i like how everyones contemplating what the 34 is
thats so like me, i take notes in class and i cant remember them later. Ohh yah, Hapay berthdah to mah. I

Heh. The overhang above my computer at college is completely lined with post-it notes. They overlap each other and occasionally I find one I was looking for about a week ago.
I also write ideas for drawings down on them, and more than once they’ve lined up in a sequence that seems to tell a story.
Hee, one day they’ll make an iFridge. You can e-mail, surf the web, order out, plan your day…all from the refrigerator door! Just you wait!
*In response to Paul*
Hehe… The iFridge. I can’t wait. =)
Hehe, my memories not too good, it tends to be a little too selective, if I think doing something is important I’ll remember it easily but if I don’t really see the point and someone’s just telling me to do it I’ll probably forget even if I have written myself a note.
I don’t really use post-it note, but I can relate to the iCal a little bit via my alarm clock. I got so used to automatically hitting “snooze” that I was doing it in my sleep; I kept getting to class and work late. I finally moved the clock across the room and turned the volume all the way up, so in order to turn it off I have to physically get up to do it.
Paul and Geeklord:
I saw a ‘fridge with a video monitor already built into it about three weeks ago… it connects to tv, dvd, and the internet. I think the only internet function on it is local weather, though… it’s way out of my price range so I didn’t look too closely at it.
Personally, I lean towards what Beet was saying; the 34 is next to a birth-day cake, and Chris DID just turn 34 yesterday.
Yep, I drew this on my 34th birthday.
Mystery solved. 🙂
So wait, Biff left a reminder to on his fridge that Chris turned 34. Biff is aware that he is a comic character now? That would make him like Neo or something.
Happy belated birthday Chris?
I like to write on my arm or hand for notes and stuff… it doesn’t usually last after I go to the bathroom. Other than that, I just use my mental calendar…
Hmmm…
I see a lot of drawings on the fridge…
The three options are:
1)Biff has Bifflets and is proud of their art.
2)Biff sucks at drawing.
3)The fridge is a remainder of Biff’s childhood.
Happy late Birthday Chris, may god keep blessing you with more happyness and creativity, so you can draw more and keep us laughing =P
WTG Chris =D
I use masking tape instead of Post It notes. I always find it stuck to random places later; a shoe, my backpack, the dresser.
It’s very strange, indeed.
There seems to be lots of charts and calculations all over there too, is Biff some sort of rocket scientist? Or Brain surgeon? Or Rocket Surgeon?
its mah birthday too, but nobady acnoleges that
@Bob – When you consider the wacky junk Biff invents all the time you figure he works for N.A.S.A. or something, but I wonder what he does for a living now that you mention it. Do you think he works for Ron Popeil?
Biff works in an office building. Probably for the place that makes prizes in cereal boxes.
I know this feeling well. I have a nasty habit of making notes but never ever using them like I should. I keep waiting for some sort of mythical solve-all to come along, most likely in the form of a wonder device.
I think I need to find a device to centre my life around so notes becomes useful to me :S
“He could just be trying to remember what comes after 32…”
😀
Huh. Until I saw that Chris verified it was becauses of his birthday (happy quite belated by the way) I could have swore it was a reference to Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. 34 is the answer to the universe you know. Though I ponder how Biff figured that out and put it on his fridge.
*days after last post* Sorry, need to correct myself. 42 is the answer to the universe. My bad. I think I was sleepy when I wrote that last message.
Where would we be without sticky notes?
I thought 34 was the number of bricks in the wall.

Unfortunately, the mystery was solved long ago.
I see the Savage Chickens reference.
Maxsteele2, you beat me to it. Savage chickens FTW~!
