#266 – Dairy

When I was a kid I only ate cereal for breakfast. Now I eat it at lots of different times. I guess it’s partly because it’s a fast easy to prepare meal. Faster than any microwave dinner. Sometimes I get a real craving for it. It can be very frustrating though when you pour a bowl of cereal at 10 o’clock at night and open the refrigerator to find that you are out of milk. That’s when I resort to just eating it dry.

so, there is twice as muck milk fat by wieght than there is of the combinded wieght of the milk and milk fat.

    f=2*(m+f) => f=-m

wow negamilk that can’t be good for you.

  2. ratboy says:

seriously, u would gain like 300 pounds just sippin that.

  3. Synchro says:

Run out of milk? HEATHEN WORDS.

I eat cereal dry when I’m at work… sometimes I’ll have nine hour shifts where I can’t go anywhere, and there’s no fridge or microwave. Dry cereal works well, but if I bring milk too it’s sour by the time I try to use it.

  4. Murifex says:

I eat cereal dry EVERYTIME! That’s because I hate milk as long as I can thnik about it. I once had to drink a glass of milk to check I had Lactose-intolerance. I don’t, but I almost vomited drinking that disgusting white liquid. BAH!

  5. SenorLopez says:

Ha ha nice one. I’d hate to have to use that kind of milk.

  6. Madness says:

I eat cereal each time of the day actually. I don’t have milk though atm.

  7. cyber95 says:

It’s like Heinz ketchup. It comes out when you’re not looking, and only then.

  8. MJ says:

Actually, when I was a kid I would et cereal all the time, a bowl or two for breakfast and sandwich and a bowl for lunch and then late night before going to bed. Sleepovers at mine were always the coolest because we got to eat cereal whenever we wanted. Make it ourselves, that was kind of crazy power when your 8… Yeah, good times. Now I only do it on the extreme lazy days.

  9. JezMM says:

I remember as a kid I’d never eat cereal with milk at all… for some reason I was terrified of it going soggy. Nowadays I find cereal a very soulless experience without milk… strange how tastes change throughout the years.

  10. wortcov says:

    I ate some soured milk that was like that once -_-;

  11. Kryhavok says:

I bet that milk came from a fat cow :D!

  12. Squarehead says:

Wow, I completely and totally agree with hating when I get some cereal poured then there’s no milk. Completely. I drink skim milk, by the way. I would put my money on the fact that if anyone drank a half-gallon of that stuff, it would cause an instant change in weight. If they drank a whole gallon, they would probably die.

  13. Toshmate! says:

i love cereal.. love love love.. omg i need milk and cereal sliding down my throat now.. ahhhh its like an addiction!!

  14. dragonbrad says:

awsome, i could use that milk to help me make fried chicken, yes some people use milk and fat to make fried foods, toshmate trys eating post cereal bars

  15. I really dont know what to say about this comic.

    Raisin Bran rules?

  16. red rule says:

you can also eat it with yogurht, tastes way better then the..that.. cow…”juice” Dx

  17. Dr Glenn says:

lol, i ate a bowl of cereal like 10 mins before reading today’s comic (with semi-skimmed milk, not negamilk)

red rule did you know that yogurht is milk that has been left for days with bacteria attacking it, then sometimes fruit is added.

  18. Kristen says:

    That’s just sick and wrong.

  19. Rob says:

One of the best things about being an adult is eating cereal whenever you want.

  20. Murifex says:

Don’t even think about whta cheese is 😉

  21. Seraphine says:

One word: Yogurt and Raspberries. Oops, that was a 200% word. Sorry.

  22. Guattanator says:

I remember a time when I ran out of milk to use for my cereal but I had already started pouring it so there was a little milk in the bowl of cereal… I said to myself “That would suck to only have a little milk sitting at the botom of the bowl while I ate the rest.” So I pulled out some Iced Tea and put it in the bowl as if it where milk. It was the best tasting cearial I ever had, Ice Tea and milk mixed didn’t seem like it would be good but it was.

  23. Elli says:

One time, I woke up at like 4 AM, grabbed the cocoa puffs a bowl, a spoon, and the milk jug, and went in to the living room to watch TV with Dad and eat. The cocoa puffs tasted funny. So I turned on the light to discover that I had grabbed the instant tea instead of the milk! It was gross. D:

I’m really picky, I only drink brewed tea. Instant tea just doesn’t taste right anymore….

  24. Bryce says:

Cereal is good, as long as it’s classic.
Just the old stuff, like Cheerios.

By the way, love the comics on eBay.
    I think it’s really cool.

  25. ratboy says:

i’m kinda the same way Murifex. if i drink milk i almost puke. i hate the taste of plain white milk. i can drink the different flavors of milk and eat it on cereal. then it has the cereal flavor in it and it is ok to drink.

  26. Sergeant Major says:

Don’t worry, Kristen. Those bacteria won’t kill you, or even make you sick. They’re much to pathetic to do that. But the fact freaked me out when I first learned of it. For about 5 seconds.

  27. Dr Glenn says:

I’m an A-level biologist hoping to do Biomedicne at uni so bacteria do not even phase me XD

(more on topic) One time i accidently put orange juice on my cereal (it was in the jug my mum usually puts milk in), didn’t actually try that bowl of cereal, i fed it to the dog and made myself a fresh bowl with milk

  28. Izotz says:

You didn’t try the orange juice cereal? Shame. Personaly, I love a bowl of orange juice cereal every once in a while. It all started one night when I did it simply by accident but I loved it and have been having it since. Be careful what cereal you get though, some flavors just don’t mix. :S

  29. DEC says:

Milk, usually always have it at home, generally use anywhere between 0.5-2 liters a day (.13 – .53 gallons)

  30. Eleanor says:

I remember once I took a huge swig of milk from my mug only to find out that it had gone bad. It was like drinking liquefied cheese.

  31. Oddly Frozen says:

i like putting soda on my cereal sometimes, you just haven’t lived until you’ve tried coco puffs with root beer :3

  32. MetMan.EXE says:

    Sraphine,that’s a 485% word.

  33. Neteeee says:

my sister used to eat cereal with water. blegh.

  34. Stint says:

Real cereal lovers will eat their cereal with water!

  35. etherscythe says:

I once put sprite on a salad accidentally. THERE’S a different experience, lemme tell ya.

  36. sole says:

I once ate cereals with ice tea…. I love Ice tea especially Westminster

  37. Steve-o says:

poor cow. poor farmer. probly took three hours for a pint to come out

  38. Angel says:

    Ha! 200% milk 😀

  39. Radical Edward says:

He probably grabbed without looking…Another stupid thing everyone has probably done at least once in their life.

I love milk, just not that much.

Milk never can soften the more abrasive cereals and keep crunchy.

  40. Darkpheonix XIII says:

I love milk. I always drink whole.

  41. Elkian says:

I love milk, but I’ve been on lofat so long, whole tastes suspicious.

  42. John says:

Did someone say Instant Tea? What the HELL is that?

Is it just me or have Americans invented an instant version of every foodstuff on the planet – I stayed with my uncle once and he didn’t even know *how* to make pancakes from scratch.

As for milk – gotta be 2% for tea, but whole is better in pretty much anything else.

  43. Psymon says:

    Fruits and vegetables—freeze dried.
    Drink mixes

I don’t think we have instant ice cream, at least, I haven’t seen it. On second thought, astronaut ice cream might come pretty close.
    Instant cheese—wrapped singles
You can buy bread mixes and cookie dough.
I have never seen, nor heard of, an instant soufflé. (I think I found one!)
More seriously, are there any instant meats? How would you do that?

The four food groups: Fast, Frozen, Instant, and Chocolate. I’m not sure where I heard it, but it was probably in one of those e-mails that get sent around every now and again.

  44. Nomad says:

I actually pour my milk first.
The amount of milk in the bowl is easy to measure and corresponds to how much it will take to fill me up.
Cereal is pointless to measure because I always eat it all and have to pour more.

  45. Colin says:

pure milk not all that good for you too.

  46. the walrus says:

Ive had coca cola with coco puffs. It was alright until the chocolate powder dissolved in the coca cola. Then it became so revolting it was incredible.

  47. Pyro says:

as a person who goes to restaurants and sucks up all the cream, I must say that that’s my kind of milk!
