#241 – Roasted

I like eating peanuts in the shell. Well, I take them out of the shell first but I like the process of having to shell them. I think the problem is that if I just buy a jar of shelled peanuts they only last a few hours. A bag of peanuts in the shell lasts me a few days. I have to get them unsalted though. I get a really bad headache from the salted kind.

Yea, shelled peanuts! My neighbor from when I was a kid always had a big bag of shelled peanuts. My bro and I would scamper over and hang out with her and mess up her living room and steal her peanuts. One time I was really hungry but didn’t want to ask for any food so I sat down in the kitchen and had peanuts until my fingers hurt so badly from shelling them that I couldn’t shell them anymore. Then she noticed and made me a sandwich. Good times. XD

I… I like to eat the shell too.

    It’s yummy.

  3. ZYXWVUT says:

How’s he going to make the jelly?

  4. Anonymous says:

    That’s the part that takes a while…

  5. Steven says:

He gets the jelly from the jellyfish farm out the back. No time at all. Or at least I do.

  6. Dave says:

Then there’s the places that provide peanuts free of charge… I remember there was a hardware store at Mandan, ND called Sandvig’s – and once a year, they’d have a big sale and as a come-on they would have these big tubs of peanuts around the store that customers could help themselves to while shopping; I remember the floors being nearly covered with shells. There are also a couple bars at Sioux Falls, SD (Nutty’s) that do the same… the best food is free food.

  7. Sax says:

There’s this one restaurant near my house called Five Guys where you can just grab some peanuts from a big box on the counter and start shelling them and eating them. They even let you just throw the shells on the floor for someone else to sweep up. And they have nice burgers, too.

  8. Wannabeelf says:

of course, there’s also more peanuts in those bags then there are in the jar. at least, that’s true of the only ones i can get around here.

Jelly’s pretty easy to make, actually. We used to have a raspberry bush in the backyard, and we would often make raspberry jam with it.

  10. Rono says:

okay, but how does one make peanut butter?
is it the peanut butter gnomes?
    or the kebler elves?

  11. Twilightblad says:

waaaait a minute…doesn’t he HAVE a jar of peanut butter that is always mysteriously left open on the shelf…?

  12. Reikon Ame says:

There we go another great invention from Biff, self made PB&J.

  13. Kenshin620 says:

    Twilightblad-….I completely forgot about that…

maybe he wants that Homemade feel in it.

so does Biff make the bread too? Or did he just use the leftover dough from the pizza yeast incident?

  14. Awkward As Usual says:

if I had a jar of peanut butter that was always left open mysteriously, I might leave it alone….

…oh, how many peanuts does he need to make one sandwich?….does he only make enough peanut butter for just one?…..

Biff should invest in some elves…they can do anything in a jiffy….

when i was in 2 grade we made fresh penutbutter, tasted ga-nasty,i think the reason he is not usein the penutbutter that misteriousely has the lid open because its probably old and stale by now,hay chris,at publix you canbuy a 20 pound bag of unsalted peanuts for $10.

  16. Specialist290 says:

I like eating shelled peanuts too. I often go out to steakhouses where they have these huge barrels of ’em in the waiting area for people to eat. Sometimes I’ve eaten so many that I’m full before I get seated, but that usually only happens when there’s a long wait.

  17. Otacon says:

It’s nice going to restruants with lots of free peanuts. It’s kinda weird with the floors being crunchy and all, but hey, free peanuts.

  18. Cory says:

Didn’t you ever READ f@nboy$? Mixing peanuts and butter does NOT make peanut butter!
Go to http://www.fanboys-online.com and go to Archive and look at comic #42
to learn where peanut butter REALLY comes from
Lol.. but i DID try taht once lol
new to strip, ive liked about 90% of the 85 ive read

  19. Nova Namina Riff says:

I’ve always been interested in peanut butter. Does biff like crunchy peanut butter or sweet?

  20. dragonbrad says:

    sweet dont you mean creamy

  21. Garrett says:

    Mmmm, BIFF PEANUT BUTTER.
So, he has a jar of peanut butter that mysteriously stays open on the counter? Haven’t gotten that far into the archives yet. I suspect all the peanut butter in that jar is homemade.

    Choosy readers choose Biff!

  22. dragonbrad says:

oh shut up,stop mocking my favorite penutbutter

  23. Chuck says:

    FINGERS, FINGERS, FINGERS!

    Oh god, Biff with hammers…

  24. multipleannurisims says:

Ouch Fluffy!!! eating a peanut with the shell on it would hurt TWICE!!!

And great comic man… i have read 241 in one sitting…. i think my genes are mutating…. keep it up!

  25. Darkpheonix XIII says:

I like to suck on the shells of the salty ones, but i don’t like to eat peanuts.

  26. Grexxor says:

silly biff. Hammers are for putting out fires, not making peanut butter. He should invent a butterer…you know…put apples in get applebutter. Put peanuts in get peanutbutter. put put low-fat in get low-fat butter.

  27. the Scarf says:

My dad used to eat those all the time…He would bring out the big yellow bin that we have in our basement to put the shells in, and sit in front of the TV eating them…

I almost never joined, because when I did, I wouldn’t stop and I would fill myself up with salty goodness…

  28. Cinders says:

I love monkey nuts. They’re just like penuts but they roast them in the shell 🙂

  29. MythMonk says:

If you drank water with them you wouldn’t get a headache (that’s a symptom of dehydration, which too much salt causes :B)

  30. DmL says:

If lot of salty foods gives you a headache you should drink more water.

  31. Hornswaggler says:

Well, duh it takes a while…He’s not using the flaming hammers!!

  32. Toafan says:

What is it with biff and hammers? – I vote THEME WEEK!
