When I saw the comic, I thought he was doing an extreme form of bubble wrap popping for fun. He wouldn’t be able to hear the popping over the sound of the steam roller anyway, though.
A good trick to do is take a roll of jumbo bubble wrap to a high-crime neighborhood, and run it over with your car. Absolute hilarity, but you better run before they start shooting back.
One time I drove over a couple of those huge bigger than your fist type bubble wrap things. The neighbours called the cops because they though I was shooting at other houses.
I would give my sister’s left arm to be able to drive a steamroller over bubble wrap. One of my best childhood memories was my Mom buying a package of bubble wrap and laying it all over the house for me and my sister to run through.
