I think it may also be a reference to the 1st of the “Back to the Future” films:
“Marty, there’s a slight chance that the speakers may overload if pushed to maximum…”
My ears are still ringing from when my stereo was set to max volume by mistake, with super sound, and that was 2 days ago! It’s even kinda loud when it’s just three things above mute, super sound off.
I know exactly how he feels. I’ve done that with my guitar a thousand times, cos we have to share amps at school. I adjust the knobs on the amp and turn up the ones on the guitar all the way. I guess they do the opposite. But omg, does it hurt.
Sharing amps and stuff sux rocks. But really, whats the point of turning DOWN the guitar knobs? it just hampers the signal path and creates more noise.
Mine has all of yours beat. It has actually broken glass. It goes up 2 50. It hurts alot. Specially since I play on an old Gibson. They are loud as is.
“is this the new album cover?”
“Yeah”
“It’s so black…”
“Its like so black its sugesting a deeper meaning… like… more… black…”
“Its like space… …But without the stars…”
Good Prank
Mine go up to 11.
It doesn’t show it at 11, Biff wouldn’t have a head if he pumped it that high.
Mine can go up to 15
I suddenly want to go bowling…
DRAW LOUDER PLEASE, ME CANT READ IT PROPERLY!
mine goes up to 115
ive done that to my friend before 😀
…he doesnt like me that much >.>
the “mine go up to 11” line was a This Is Spinal Tap refrence.

No, it really is a Spinal Tap reference.
Guitar Hero 1 also took the reference – on their loading screens, each knob goes to eleven.
Yep. Spinal Tap.
“Eleven IS louder than ten!”
Bahahah!
Spinal Tap is my favourite documentary
Doc: My equipment… that reminds me, Marty, you better not hook up to the
amplifier. There’s a slight possibility for overload.
Marty: Yeah, I’ll keep that in mind…
Nigel Tufnel: This is a top to a, you know, what we use on stage, but it’s very special because if you can see . . .
Marty DiBergi: Yeah . . .
Nigel: . . .the numbers all go to eleven. Look . . . right across the board.
(skipping more dialog about “11”)
Marty: Why don’t you just make ten louder and make ten be the top . . . number . . . and make that a little louder?. . .
Nigel: . . . These go to eleven.
By documentary I’m sure Jaime means mockumentary. 😀
*giggle* Longated-peanut-head… FACE!
i’ve gotta watch spinal tap
the card game munchkins allso use the referense
Card game munchkins? How do you know my friends?
This *points at comic* also happens when I hook my iPod up to speakers, then forget to turn the volume down. I’m shocked my ears still work. =/
I WANNA ROCK!
All I can say is “Let’s hope Biff knows a good ear surgeon!”
I actually remember watching footage of eardrum repairment when I was 8. It’s very dark inside the ear.

Those are some big headphones.

At least imploding Biff’s head made his eyebrows a little longer.
I’ve finally watched Spinal Tap. It was funny.
ow
“How scr*wed are we?”
“Honestly?”
“Yeah.”
“On a scale of one to ten?”
“Yeah.”
…
“Fourteen.”
“is this the new album cover?”
“Yeah”
“It’s so black…”
“Its like so black its sugesting a deeper meaning… like… more… black…”
“Its like space… …But without the stars…”
such a funny movie
As a prank, my friend hacked into a stereo to turn the amp up to 14. We reckon the
shape of robert’s head has never been the same since…
WHAEEEEEEEE i try that.
But i`m wearing headphones right now….
this reminds me of the ‘reverse’ time I did this- i shut my mouth, plugged my nose, and blew as hard as I could…
Mine goes one higher than yours does.
Mine go up to NINE THOUSAND.
…Damn you, Spinal Tap, for starting a war for higher numbers.
